Great location. Walking distance to the Palace, Abbey and the Thames. tube station a stone's throw away.Exactly what we wanted. Pub atmosphere but not noisy. Breakfast was substantial.Room was clean and big enough.friendly staff. Often saw who I assume was the Manager -keeping busy and very hands on. Loved the bed.

The hotel was located where you could get around easily, clean, comfortable with courteous and helpful staff. Breakfast was adequate but don't expect the typical American fare. It was convenient that a decent pub is located right there.

I stayed here with my teenage nephew and niece and we were given rooms near each other. It was a very comfortable and cosy place to stay, with excellent food in the pub on the ground floor. The staff were very accommodating, storing our luggage for us as we arrived early before our rooms were ready and wanted to get... More

Had a midweek stay off season for the princely sum of £220. The room was small. Not too small but was expecting something bigger. It was noisy when people walk past in corridor. There was also no fridge in the room. Staff were friendly both in the pub downstairs and the hotel. It's in a good location so your not... More

The location can not be beat! The rooms are small but pleasant and comfortable. The "corner rooms" are especially nice because of all the windows. Very handy to have the pub attached to the hotel. The staff was helpful. Now that I have found this hotel, it will be my preferred hotel whenever I am in London!

I stayed at this hotel in April 2013. It is ideally located, a stones throw from Westminster Abbey / Houses of Parliment. First impressions were good. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. My room was beautifully decorated. If you require fresh milk for the tea/coffee facilities you dial reception and they bring it to you in a quaint little... More

The previous sharing menu was good value and good. However their new menu leaves much to be desired. For £5 you can treat yourself to 4 (shop brought) bread sticks or 'salt and pepper' squid with neither salt nor pepper and hardly any squid. The nachos lacked cheese, the chips were cold and the chicken over-cooked. I would definetly recommend... More

I have stayed in many hotels in London, and the rooms can be a bit hit and miss. Some are opulent and roomy, others are shabby broom cupboards. I must admit when I first looked at the pictures on-line, I was a bit sceptical due to the location and price of this hotel, I had low expectations. How pleasant it... More

Good location, nice room & staff & very comfortable bed. What more could you ask! So convenient, minutes away from St James Park tube station. Pub below does lovely, unpretentious pub grub. Recommended.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
