4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

I booked a room on October, there was some renovation in front of the hotel. However, when I checked in, there was maintenance on my room. Luckily, the hotel decided to upgrade my room with the same price! This hotel location is good, which is on Westminster area, really near from Westminster Abbey and House of Parliament. The room is... More

very Central hotel with most sites in walking distance including Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and the London eye. Easy to find, a short walk from st jame's park station. Even though we were to early to check in due to the time of our flight, our bags were looked after and a place to change was offered. Rooms and... More

Met friends here on a Tuesday evening after work. Had a few drinks and a meal (main course only). Bar service was very efficient despite being busy early in the evening. Two of us had the Steak and Ale pie and chips (£11.75) served with fresh vegetables. Although the portion looked small, especially the chips, it was surprisingly filling. Good... More

Stayed here for the second time, 2 nights Nov 2013 with my sister and daughter-in-law. Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. A Full English Breakfast was included at the pub downstairs. Just a couple block walk to St James Station underground. Easy to get to from Heathrow or Gatwick. Also walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Victoria Embankment, Big... More

This hotel is pretty close to perfect. The staff is wonderful, the pub is marvelous, and so much of London is within walking distance. Westminster Abbey is about a 3 minute walk - Buckingham Palace is maybe a 9 minute walk, St James Park is about 5 minutes away, Churchill Was Rooms is close by. There is a Starbuck less... More

My wife and I stayed here for just one night but would happily spend a week. The room was very clean and although there was no double glazing we were not troubled by any traffic noise. The reaturant in the pub below served excellent food and we found the staff throughout the hotel to be friendly and efficient. We will... More

We needed a hotel close to the Houses of Parliament and the Sanctuary House fits the bill. Anywhere else and what we paid would be a ridiculous price for a small room above a pub. Room 101 is on Toothill Street, so a fair amount of street noise, but the bed was comfortable and we slept well. We declined the... More

Went for a group meal, around 12 of us. Staff courteous enough, take food orders. Food takes a while to come but fair enough it's a big party. Unfortunately one persons food is missed and then proceeds to take as long again to come out. We've all long finished eating before he starts his food. To my knowledge no recompense... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in november 2014. +: good location, close to the underground, nice pub downstairs, clean rooms, nice staff -: although they say on the website there's WiFi, it's only functioning at the reception. The different receptioniste made different excuses about it (busy at the pub, changing providers where another receptionist die not know about this).... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise a place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
