Dropped in for breakfast en route to a business meeting - very nice decor with good service and high level presentation of the table and food - numerous business breakfast chats going on around - in fact one was a bt of a loud sales pitch so I moved tables!! Good coffee arrived quickly and the breakfast was also hot... More

The location is superb if you need to be in the heart of the City of Westminster, and the rates are good. It is a hotel above a pub owned by Fullers, and I had a good experience in one of their other ones (Red Lion). I arrived tired and struggled to get anyone to come to reception (had to... More

Arrived early afternoon and only had a short wait before we were booked into room #101. The room itself was an adequate size for a short stay and was very clean. The bathroom was on the small side with the shower glass screen on the large side, this made it difficult to manoeuvre around when getting in and out of... More

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at The Sanctuary Hotel for 3 nights from 3rd-6th January. Overall, the hotel was ok. Thinking about the whole experience, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to give the hotel anything higher than 2/5, and that I feel is perhaps generous. The location of the hotel is ideal: five minutes from a tube station... More

Stayed here for just two days during a quick visit to London. I really had no idea how to choose a place to stay, so many options! what drew me to this place was the location and the charm, and that did not disappoint! This a perfect location for visitors, especially first time travelers to London. All the major sites... More

We stayed at this fantastic hotel by chance whilst in London earlier in the year. The first time was because we were to meet a bus tour that left London in the street the hotel was in. How lucky were we as the hotel is a boutique hotel that oozes warmth and charm and has a British Pub as well.... More

What a lovely hotel, clean, warm & welcoming - fresh milk & mugs a bonus. A great location 2 mins from Big Ben - highly recommend. There is a good traditional London bar underneath the hotel with a trendy blue boar wine bar/restaurant next door - both worth a visit

Everything is great, nice room, location, the pub. But really, how are you supposed to sleep when there are giant AC units outside the bedroom window??? Honestly, even though there is double glazing, its unreasonable to expect anybody but the deaf to be happy about that.

This hotel is a little gem of a place. It is conveniently located and there is a superb pub located on the ground floor which has an excellent menu to choose from. It is conveniently located and minutes walk from the nearest tube station. My room was excellent, nicely decorated, and extremely comfortable. I will be back !!

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
