We stayed there for three nights in July. When we arrived on Saturday pretty late after 7 hours coach ride from Manchester, we were welcomed by a very unenthusiastic receptionist. She informed us we have to check out and check back in the next day, because we had two separate bookings for the 3-night-stay. And we were told we have... More

In fairness, we only spent 5 hours in this hotel, but if you are like us, looking for a place to drop your things, or to put your feet up for a few hours during an overnight stopover in London, then this place is perfect! We landed in the early evening on our way to Seattle and wanted to spend... More

Spent a few nights here. Room in need of some tlc but clean and spacious for a London hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and were very attentative and helpful when necessary. The location is excellent , just a hop skip and a jump from paddington where there are plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants of all cuisines. Central London... More

We chose this hotel for its location and cheap price and we got exactly want we expected. It´s really OK for couple of nights or for a long weekend. Just a block from Paddington station and Hyde park is really close as well (good for those who enjoy morning walks/runs). It was clean and shower worked well, we got clean... More

I recently spent one night here (but stayed for a few days last summer). Being a one star, both the toilet and the shower room are shared. The room was small but clean enough. The best things about it is that for London it's cheap and the location, near central London, is great (which is what I'm really after). It's... More

Despite the nice smile of a very australian sounding lady at the desk: don't expect much more in this hotel but two beds. Defective lightbulbs, unsound looking electrical wiring, a chest for clothing just still standing upright, a non-connected television set from the 70s. The free wifi in the lobby came as a pleasant surprise. The payphone in the hotel... More

Had read previous reviews expected the worst. Decor was dated, shared bathroom and toilet but these were clean enough. Clean sheets bed comfortable. Only stayed one night any longer it may not be suitable as is basic.

this is the worst. I would not have put a dog in this room, cramped, not even a chair or a glass for your toothbrush. Take-it-or-leave it attitude from the reception in the hotel next door. The web-site says " No Frills ". You can say that again. I will be writing to the tourist board. This hotel needs a... More

Fairways is brilliantly located, just 5 minutes from Paddington Station. It is relatively close to Lords Cricket Ground (I was in London to see the cricket) and I could walk there in about 20 minutes. The area has plenty of nice cafés and restaurants and cosy spots to hang out. The Paddington Underground station links in with several lines, so... More
