The staff at the Caswell was friendly, and the rooms (bed and bath) were very clean. We were looking for somewhere reasonably priced that was within walking distance of a tube station, that was safe and clean, and we found it at the Caswell. The breakfast was delicious, and always served with a smile (which I'm sure wasn't always easy).

Three friends in a room for three people. The room was small and the double bed is not intended for friends or people average weight. Okay breakfast in the basement. Bath and toilet in the hallway on two floors. Location was a bit too far away from center for me, but easy with a taxi.

We stayed here with our three older children. We have such fond memories of the hotel! We booked two rooms, one of them was a triple for the three older kids and then a double for ourselves. The rooms and hotel in general are older but that was what we expect in London. The location was FANTASTIC! Close to Victoria... More

Biggest mistake in booking ever, it's not a hotel, it's more of a guest house, shared bathrooms, in this day and age are not acceptable, we had the triple room (which is how I thought shared bathrooms came into it), as it was the only one available, which consisted of a double and a single bed crammed into one room... I realise that London is a busy, thriving metropolitan city and that things will be slightly more expensive. But seriously, over £100/day for this place is a joke. The décor and carpets in this place are not only old but are also grubby. The room I stayed was the number 9, it was old and musty. It had an en... More

A lot of reviews are saying it's a budget hotel, it is old like a budget hotel but is call it cheaper rather then budget, its in a good area but it's still quite expensive for the aussie dollar. Breakfast isn't that bad, quite plain just cereal and toast with coffee tea and juice but very at tentative staff, great... More

I stayed with 3 friends at the beginning of September. The Caswell is a decent budget hotel VERY CLOSE to Victoria Station and some excellent pubs and restaurants (recommended - Grumbles, 35 Churton St. and St. George's Tavern, 14 Belgrave Rd.). It is close to the bus station as well for tours of Stonehenge and other attractions. We all enjoyed... More

Really great, friendly and helpful service!!! We stayed for 6 nights and were very comfortable. Fantastic location!! Great for a budget stay, nothing fancy about the interior but it was very comfortable and suitable. It was also very clean.

The Caswell was a horrible place to stay, there was mold growing in the showers and bedbugs at night. Your kids, if any, will be guaranteed to hate it. The breakfast was decent, expect it was mostly carbohydrates. Namish, the hotel man, is rather friendly. The kids slept in full-clothed gear because they didn't want to get bitten by the... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
