We had an absolutely delightful stay! It was my first visit to London and a friend of mine, who happens to be a travel agent, highly recommended The Goring. I am so glad she did. We cannot say enough about the beautiful decor, lovely garden, delicious food and comfortable room, yet it was the outgoing and friendly staff who really... More

We recently stayed at The Goring...our second time. Once again it was a magical experience. They upgraded us to the same room that we had last year which meant so much to us. The hotel staff remembered us which made us feel special. This is my favourite hotel in the world. The staff are so friendly and so helpful. The... More

Because of the excellent service we received last year , we returned August 13th, 2015 for three nights. Our stay again was absolutely wonderful. The entire staff has impeccable manners, friendly and willing to assist whenever we needed help. The food is fantastic both in the Fine Dining Room and in the Lounge area. Just incase you are unable to... More

Wonderful luxury at the Goring Hotel. A niche hotel with just the right amount of sensitivity. Great restaurant - central location. Not too snooty staff considering the fuss of the royal wedding party staying here.

The Goring Hotel is located on a quiet side street just off Buckingham Palace Road and within an easy walk of Victoria Station. The hotel came very much into the news for hosting Kate Middleton and her family prior to her wedding to Prince William. It is relatively small; the general atmosphere is very much like being a guest in... More

Wonderful stay in July 2015. Traveling with my husband, children and parents. The staff and service was not only first class, but also very kind when my father experienced a medical emergency. The restaurant was lovely with excellent food and the rooms impeccable. Next time I am in London I will head straight to the Goring.

I just couldn't give this hotel 5 stars. While the staff was trying to be accommodating (even though we waited more than 2 hours to check in), and the restaurant was exceptional, we just weren't happy with the room. It was very cramped, the bed sagged on one side, we couldn't cool the room down, no matter how hard we... More

We have stayed at the Goring many, many times over the previous twenty five years, but hadn't stayed in over 10 years. The Goring has only gotten better. We had a lovely drink in the bar before dinner. The Garden has been opened up and now allows access and is a tranquil spot in the midst of London. Our room,... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
