From start to finish the cosseting machinery of the Goring made our stay memorable. My wife returned us here as a treat for my 60th birthday and on finding my children booked into the adjoining room , it was a memorable surprise . The service was brilliant from front of house to senior management and we were all made to... More

This was my 50th birthday present from my daughter and her partner. It was amazing. Sandwiches scones cakes and pastries. The champagne was Bollinger the teas were from Fortnum and Mason. The staff were so polite and attentive they couldn't do enough for us. Sandwiches , cakes and teas were replenished as many times as we wanted. The hotel was... More

The goring certainly lives up to its 5 star rating the rooms are large very very clean and so comfortable the staff are very friendly the only disappointment was the afternoon tea was very overpriced for what it was although I do know you can top up if you would like but overall a wonderful stay

Another excellent stay. Patrick at the main desk and the concierge are all most helpful and pleasant. With the intimate surroundings and the personalized attention, a visit is an American's fantasy version of living in upper-crust London.

We recently had the pleasure of ascending the steps at The Goring where we were greeted with open arms by well-drilled doormen, who promptly took our coats and bags and showed us to the reception desk. There is an air of regality and elegance here that we can’t help but fall in love with; to put it simply, you are... More

We stayed at the Goring for six nights in late January/early February 2016. We arrived with guarded expectations but within minutes the staff exceeded every hope we could have for a hotel. The hotel itself is fresh whilst still reflecting its history. The lobby is efficient, the public areas crisp and clean and our room was textbook for what a... More

I had never been to the Goring until this past week and I'm in love. This wonderfully located hotel close to Victoria oozes elegance from the kerb all the way up to the rooms. Everything is beautiful, the doorman the concierge the staff I could go on but you feel like royalty once you step through the doors. The service... More

Loved it, one of my most favorite hotels in the world and we've seen/stayed in many. From the lovely atmosphere to the way they make you feel, it's the best. The bar service was exceptional, breakfast food and service was impeccable. Thank you for a very memorable anniversary experience.

We were looking for hotel and the Goring was not listed in many of the hotel booking services, but we found a photo of it with a carriage out front and started to search for it. We found it across from Buckingham Palace Mews which made is ideally located for our visit to London. The service was 5 star, all... More

My husband and I stayed at The Goring for five nights right before Christmas as part of a trip to celebrate a "landmark" birthday and anniversary. The hotel was even more lovely with the tasteful Christmas decorations, and we were delighted with the room upgrade we received that made our stay and "special occasion" even more special. The staff were... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
