Had a fabulous 2 night stay with my sister. A real treat. The service is wonderful and the rooms are fabulous. The linens are the height of luxury with bathrobes & slippers. Free wifi and daily paper. The bar and lounge are great places to relax and watch the world go by. On a sunny day the garden is a... More

The Goring is everything one would expect - great location, impeccable service, pristine property, great bar and restaurant --safe (particularly important for a woman traveling alone. Afternoon tea was sublime. I'm looking forward to a return visit.

Is it any wonder that Kate Middleton and her family chose to stay here prior to the Royal Wedding? Or that Her Majesty the Queen drops by from time to time? This is an elegant, luxurious hotel that welcomes the world's elite yet avoids ever appearing pretentious or snobby; the staff are helpful, caring and sincere. The Dining Room serves... More

I go to the Goring often to meet clients and friends and it is a wonderful oasis only steps away from Buckingham Palace and Victoria. The service is second to none, especially Brian and Monica, who really are excellent.

stayed 2 nights this time- previously only managed 1 night. However the deal of staying Saturday & getting Sunday 50% off was too good to miss. As ever a warm welcome from front desk staff who make you feel special

We have been to the bar at The Goring for pre dinner drinks before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience so decided to go back for dinner and drinks and we were not disappointed. Our taxi pulled up at the entrance and we were greeted by 2 lovely friendly doormen. One of the door men, helped my elderly mother in law... More

We spent four nights at the Goring along with friends. The hotel service, rooms, dining, and lounge all lived up to our expectations for a five star property. The thing that sets the Goring apart is the personal touch! We were escourted to the lounge and seated for check in, then promptly shown to our rooms. After the first few... More

Did not stay here, but the restaurant is something really special. The Gorings' set lunch menu isn't cheap but I think it is excellent value for money for three courses given the quality and the beautiful presentation of the cooking. Loved the service which was discreet but very attentive. There are plenty of good places to eat around Belgravia but... More

Just over a year since I was last at The Goring and I was eager to see their new decor. As always staying here was a delight: the sheer comfort, attention to every detail and the easy charm of the staff marking this place above all others in London. Overall the refurbishment works very well, but may take a little... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
