Stopped off at The Goring for tea after husbands birthday dinner at a different restaurant. Staff surprised us with a complimentary cake when they realized the occasion. We sat in the garden and played croquet !

We had the sheer pleasure of a night at The Goring on Saturday and cannot recommend it highly enough. Service is exceptionally attentive and kind and the rooms a total delight. Great attention to detail, amazingly comfortable beds, true luxury and the best British breakfast ever! We will be back for sure!

The afternoon tea was lovely and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The staff asked us if we wanted refills when ever our plates were empty. We had a quick drink in the bar before hand which was equally as good. Both of us are looking forward to coming back.

The Goring hotel leads the way in how a 5 star hotel is managed superbly , staff well trained and the attention to detail is seamless The journey of perfection starts from the moment the doormen welcome you. From checking in to travelling to the lift, I was greeted by my name on 3 occasions by 3 different team members... More

Excellent location in the heart of london, however in a quiet one way street. Superb service at this hotel, starting with the doormen on arrival, the concierge, housekeeping, bar staff, in the restaurant and so it continued.... Nothing was too much trouble for anyone, rather rare I'd say these days. Extremely comfortable rooms, lovely decor and beautiful wallpaper. Be sure... More

Spent eight nights over the 2015 New Year's holiday. Beside my wife had my daughter and her husband along in an adjoining room. Been nearly a decade since I last stayed here but service from the staff was still impeccable from housekeeping , to the lounge, to the front deck. Hot chocolate or tea in the lounge after a night... We stayed at The Goring for five days over New Year, specifically to see the Fireworks. It is five minutes from Buckingham Palace and fifteen from Trafalgar Square but also is within walking distance of Hyde Park, the Victoria and Albert museum and Harrods. Firstly, we were very impressed by the excellent welcome that we received from the Doormen- this... More

Went for dinner at this opulent restaurant. Food and service were excellent in the salubrious dining room. Only a three minute walk from Victoria Station beside Buckingham Palace Mews. Go and be spoilt! You will enjoy it!

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise a place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
