5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had a wonderful stay in The Goring. We booked bed and breakfast and had dinner on the our second night to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and first class. We received a complimentary glass of champagne each and a gateau with two candles on it after we finished our meal, plus a bottle of champagne with... More

I would say, without hesitation, that this was one of the loveliest afternoons I have ever spent. The Goring's famous welcome was outstanding, as was the personal attention from every member of its team, yet it was never intrusive. Numerous guests were occupying the lounge and taking the warm, sunny air on the veranda, and yet each table seemed to... More

Each time I visit the Goring, I am impressed with how well the staff treat the visitors, and how well the visitors treat the staff (on the whole). This seems to me to reflect how loyal the customer base is: people obviously use the Goring on a regular basis and so get to know the staff who also get to... More

Yet another splendid visit to The Goring this week and it is wonderful to see the hotel slip into Summer mode. Whatever time of the year you visit here, you can be assured of a wonderful welcome and unbeatable service as every member of Staff knows what 'customer satisfaction' means!

We happened upon the Goring as we were a bit lost in the area. We were tired and needed respite. The hostess and concierge invited us in for tea, the owner welcomed us, so in we went. Without a reservation, we were seated graciously in the most beautiful yellow tea room. The tea and warm scones with cream were the... More

I visited the Goring with my wife for lunch yesterday. The weather was fine so on arrival we were shown onto the veranda for some pre meal bubbles. Service was superb all staff were very attentive and polite....I could just imagine how they must have looked after Kate Middleton before her wedding. The food was beautiful. I had originally booked... More

The Goring offers the best of Grand Old England. Not the cottagy village Inn. Oh no: the Classic Grand English Hotel. It is a stone’s through from Buckingham Palace, and feels as though it might be part of that great house. It offers all the opulence and pomp and formality that have come to be the hallmark of all that... More

This was our first stay at The Goring. We have been to a number of excellent hotels in London, but The Goring is one of the best. In one day were called by name. Patrick the concierge was superb. The hotel just marvelous. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed. The dinner at the dining room our first night... More

We my wife, family and friends love this hotel, it never disappoints and we have tried many other 5 star hotels in London over the years but this remains our favourite. The staff, food, wine and rooms are excellent. I can't recall anywhere better to stay when visiting the city of London.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
