Staff is really nice. Very good traditional English breakfast, but can ask for continental if you wish. Rooms are small but OK and clean. Good location, train and tube stations are 3-4 minutes walk away. Wifi works but not on the upper floors.

Our stay at Balmoral was greatly disturbed by the fact that the room had not been cleaned before our arrival. Glasses, bottles and dirty linen is not the best way to start a hotel stay. That being said, the reactions in reception points to this being a one timer, and the family running the place fixed the room in no... More

Just come back from a two night stay in London for some business and pleasure. I have to stay that this is a fab little place to stay in a great location you are so central to everything. We drove up by car but Paddington is literally a 2 minute walk away. The room was small but it was spotlessly... More

We had checked all the reviews of the Balmoral House before we stayed there, so we knew it was going to be a typical small European hotel. It is nothing fancy, but it is clean. We stayed in one of the triple rooms with our granddaughter. The beds were comfortable, the room was small, the bathroom very small. It was... More

The reception of this hotel was located at the other side of the street. Location was good, near the London Tube. Very basic hotel but nice. The staff was pleasant. The only negative thing is breakfast, only possible till 8:30 AM.

Poor choice on my part. I paid £115 for a night stay with breakfast. I stay in Paddington regularly on business. There are far, far superior hotels in this area for the money. It's actually more of a guest house than a hotel. It's clean, which is my top criteria when staying away. I had an issue when I found... More

Made a booking for my father. He arrived at 12 noon to be told that room was not ready. 3 hours on and the room is still not ready. Apparently the carpet needs changing. There are others are at the lobby with their luggage waiting. I ring the hotel and a lady who tells me she owns the place tells... More

We were disappointed on arrival in our Family room, to find it was not ready - beds that had just been slept in (despite being given the key by reception over the road and not being advised that the room was not ready, we arrived at 1pm, check-in 12noon). However we were leaving our luggage in the room and going... More

Perfect location, close to restaurants, pubs, Paddington tube station, Hyde park and London city. We stayed in the four bed room with four people and although it was a bit small it was perfect for two nights during our city trip. The room was very clean, as was the ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was really nice and everyone was very... More

Nice from the outside, rooms large and clean. The en-suite however was the smallest cupboard I have ever seen a toilet, shower and sink shoved into! You could sit on the loo, brush your teeth and shower your feet at the same time! The tv had unwatchable reception - someone came to look at it but it was obviously just the... More
