Im a tour guide, and in the easter time i take groups of students to London. As you may imagine ive stayed in many hotels and youth hostels around London. This one is a typical youth hostel:lots of screaming kids running around the corridors and slamming doors at 6am,very poor cleaning and room features (mine didnt even had a shower curtain)! There...

Our group had a wonderful stay , we knew on arriving it would be pretty basic , and it was! Although the staff are very friendly and rooms are basic. The beds are very comfortable just a 5 minute walk to the tube station so it was all we needed!
Hi XxR,
Thanks for taking the time to post a review on here. I'm glad your group had a good stay.

Reasonable location, and the hostel doesn't kick you out for the day like some others (St Pauls for example). Rooms good, but top bunks are difficult and uncomfortable to climb up.
Rooms are modern, with tea making facilities - well kept.
Location of hostel is easy to find, if you know how - take tube to Rotherhithe, turn left at...

I took three Scouts and stayed here - a youth hostel with TV and Tea and Coffee making facilities and on a direct bus route into central London! This place is a hidden gem, the staff were great, the breakfast was huge and we easily got to the Cinema and restaurants in Canada Water as well as to and from...

We stayed at this YHA hostel just for 1 night and a half (we left early in the morning), and I'm quite glad it wasn't longer.
The location is nice and, as someone already pointed out, the canal is beautiful, but to get there from the previous hostel in Earl's Court we had to travel a bit.
The staff was...

Admittedly I have never stayed in a youth hostel before, but this place is a filthy rathole with little to redeem it. The food so far has been frankly awful and the smell from the drains after you have used the sink is repulsive. I am dreading the shower and wishing I had brought flip-flops.
I love this youth hostel, the location is ideal. Nearby there's a gorgeous canal with great wildlife, Canada Water station which is on the Jubilee line, Rotherithe station on the Overground and a great shopping centre including a big Tesco for all your food and drink for your stay.
I was disappointed that breakfast was no longer included as this...

As with most previous reviews, the building location requires journeying into the centre of london on tube otherwise an hour and a half walk. The building is smart and modern with facilities you would not get in Premier Inns etc but is let down badly by the deteriorating state of the rooms.
The room stayed in (good for 3 people)...

Staff were friendly and helpful. Full, delicious breakfast included. Nice lounge area and kitchen facilities. Rooms were a little dirty but there was a place to lock your stuff and full private bathrooms in each room. Biggest problem is its really far away from all the sites and you end up spending a lot on underground and in travel time.
