This is a clean, modern and friendly hostel in an excellent location. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location is quiet but very well connected. Our room had a fantastic view of the Shard building across the Thames (people pay millions of pounds to have that kind of view)!! Very comfy beds, 24hr access (great location for the O2).... More

Really, never stay here. It's so terrible. The rooms are really small and cramped, the bed arrangment for a 6 person room makes sleeping unbearable. The bed sheets were stained with bodily fluids. The mattress was extremely thin and uncomfy. The bathroom was unclean with pubic hairs dotted around. Breakfast was poor. The beans were called, only one slice of... More

Pros: -large dining area, lounge room w/ tv, another chill out room basement, plenty of couches throughout. - communal kitchen w/ essentials -6 bunk female was very spacious, comfortable, shower + bathroom well kept. -area surrounding hostel is quiet, plenty of pathways, parks, ponds very pretty, great if you like walks (no, It's not 'sketchy') -5-10 min walk to large... I have stayed in many hostels around the country in rural locations and small towns, but this was the first time I have stayed in a London hostel, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that it was packed to the rafters during my weekend stay. The location is handy for the O2, ExCeL and the docklands. Transport links to... More

I arrived here as a stopover prior to a holiday. The trip commenced early morning so overnight stay required. The place is fairly clean room a little odd with the layout but ok. It has the same old problems of the yha. Wi fi stupid to charge gut go to local pub its free. The staff have been there a... More

I stayed at the YHA a month ago with a mixed family group aged from 13-mid 60's. The room itself was laid out quite strangely with the beds in bunks three high but the middle bed at a 90 degree angle, this meant that there was about 10 inches of legroom on each bunk (bar the top bunks) which meant... I have stayed there for 3 nights, so I had a possibility also to speak with a staff and tried their food. If you expect a full English breakfast - they will meet your expectations. But when you come to lunch or dinner, you will be amazed. Chef is a pearl of this hostel and eating anywhere else than in... More

A bit out of the centre of the city, but within easy walking distance of tube stations. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was reasonable for the price. However, the rooms were very noisy - I slept against the wall near the hallway and could hear every single person who walked past. The beds were a weird set-up... More

I've just returned from this hostel and it was my second stay there. This time I was dismayed at check in to be told that I would have to change rooms mid stay as they were busy. As I booked back in May for this trip, I couldn't understand why I hadn't been told sooner so I could cancel and... More

If you want stay away from the hassle and sound of London stay in this hostel. Bit away from the main london yet communication is really great. Cheap, clean with average facilities. Not for family and couples.
