It was on my way home Glasgow from US and need a night stay in london. People could arrive via the piccadilly line directly from LHR airport. And it is next to the british museum. Though the hotel is a bit mini, you cannot imagine how nice the staff is. You can definitely lock your valuable staff in the locker... More

The hostel is divided in two buildings that are far apart. You need to walk for 4 minutes to get from one to the other one and you do NOT get to choice in which one you would like to stay. You will find out in which one you stay when you arrive. You would be ok with that if... More

Astor Museum is really in the center of the city, although we still had to change lines a lot in the Tube. The staff was very friendly ! The kitchen is big (lots of counter space, 2 stoves, 3 fridges) and the included breakfast is good (lots of choice). The loundge was a little bit small though. Be aware that... More

The Astor Museum Hostel is located in Bloomsbury, close to the underground and central line which made it easy to access most of the common tourist sites within less than 20 minutes. You could also walk to Green Park in less than a half hour. The location seemed safe at night, and there is a small convenience store just next... More

What a fab place. Simple personal and obviously family run. Has an intimacy were you u can meet driends in both staff and visiters. I had a terrific time there. Thank you!!! Incidentally they have a number of hostels dotted over the capital too.

This hostel is well run and in a great location opposite the British Museum. They clearly take security seriously from entry to the building to under bed lockers. The price is very good for London. There was a bit of noise as you might expect but not excessive. The bunk beds were reasonably comfortable and they put your name on... More

Didn't have any problems here! Literally beside the British museum, it is in an IDEAL location. Also very near the Tube. The staff was very helpful with our many questions. Fully equipped kitchen with little patio area, and decently priced laundry! Good wifi in rooms. Good atmosphere. We really liked the under the bed lockers as well which gave us... More

Pro; nice kitchen. Staff extremely friednly and helpful. Nice area of town. Convenient. Right beside museum. Con:breakfast is cramped. Door at 2nd site doesnt close properly. Sadly we were 2 and we got 2 separate bunks. Should have gotten one on top of each other.

It's perfect to stay there for few nights if you need to be near to city center for less cost, otherwise, it's not a great place. Number of toilets are no suitable for number of gusts or beds. Place is narrow, creepy and I felt not comfortable there. To be honest, I didn't used any of there facilities like dining... More

I stayed 3 nights in a 6 beds dorm. Bed was comfy and clean but the lockers under the beds were too noisy and hard to open. I had to push the bed up (with someone sleeping on) to free my drawer. There are no plugs on the top bed height which means if u want to charge ur phone... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
