Its run by lovely other young people. They were great to hang with and they were very helpful. I was in the other building about a minute away, which I thought would be annoying but it wasn't. The free breakfast was great. Beds were a tiny bit uncomfortable but the rooms were otherwise good. It was rather expensive but everything in... More

Awesome hostel in a typical London townhouse style place. Staff was incredibly friendly. Perfect location: You can easily walk everywhere. Regarding the rats: The building next door got demo'ed, so they had rat problem last month. It's not a problem anymore. The place is very clean, very comfortable.

Hostel is in an ideal location, you can walk to most London attractions in less than 30 minutes (lots of transport options too). Rooms were clean and comfortable, the lockers under each bed were very handy, though you need to bring your own lock. Kitchen was big with everything you need to cook a meal, and breakfast for 50p was... More

Was worried after reading reviews that the hostel was infested with rats, but gladly we didn't see any. I stayed for one night in this hostel with a friend, our room was located a couple blocks from the main building. Although we didn't spend much time at the hostel, we enjoyed our stay. It was clean, nice, decent beds and... More

First thing you need to read is that there are rats throughout the whole building. if you have food in your bag they will be in you bag in minutes. This place is one of the most u friendly hostels I have stayed at in Europe. The staff were mainly Spanish and kept to themselves. they seemed to have a... More

This places only upside is its location. Only has stairs so if you enjoy hauling luggage up bunches of stairs this place is for you. Also if you are a fan of rodents crawling around your bags and under your bed, even better because this place can supply that. If you are Australian you will be put on a low... More

This hostel was not good at all. INFESTED with rats, the staff lives on the property, they were not helpful at all, always making noisy in the yard listening to loud music from the kitchen, and there are a large number of people who live there long term. There are also large groups staying. The facilities like the lounge and... More

I have stayed at this hostel twice in the last year with a large group of girls and each time we were all really impressed. The staff at this hostel are friendly and helpful. The second time I stayed at the Astor Museum Hostel, management bent over backwards to assist me with my booking, despite a couple of issues from... More

The hostel was located next to the British museum. It was very centric. You could go walking everywhere with between 5 to 20 minutes. Stuff was lovely and clients too. That generated a really good atmosphere. Hostel was clean with bathrooms for every 3 or 4 bedrooms. Attention: if you go with a couple, you'll get twin beds instead of... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
