Pro; nice kitchen. Staff extremely friednly and helpful. Nice area of town. Convenient. Right beside museum. Con:breakfast is cramped. Door at 2nd site doesnt close properly. Sadly we were 2 and we got 2 separate bunks. Should have gotten one on top of each other.

It's perfect to stay there for few nights if you need to be near to city center for less cost, otherwise, it's not a great place. Number of toilets are no suitable for number of gusts or beds. Place is narrow, creepy and I felt not comfortable there. To be honest, I didn't used any of there facilities like dining... More

I stayed 3 nights in a 6 beds dorm. Bed was comfy and clean but the lockers under the beds were too noisy and hard to open. I had to push the bed up (with someone sleeping on) to free my drawer. There are no plugs on the top bed height which means if u want to charge ur phone... More

The location is optimal, very close to London centrum! Thats perfect because you can nearly reach everything by walking. The stuff was nice and gave the information needed. The breakfast is indeed only 0.50 pounds, which is unbelivable. You can't expect a super amazing breakfast but astor museum hostel provides everything you need for the start into the day. The... Its run by lovely other young people. They were great to hang with and they were very helpful. I was in the other building about a minute away, which I thought would be annoying but it wasn't. The free breakfast was great. Beds were a tiny bit uncomfortable but the rooms were otherwise good. It was rather expensive but everything in... More

Awesome hostel in a typical London townhouse style place. Staff was incredibly friendly. Perfect location: You can easily walk everywhere. Regarding the rats: The building next door got demo'ed, so they had rat problem last month. It's not a problem anymore. The place is very clean, very comfortable.

Hostel is in an ideal location, you can walk to most London attractions in less than 30 minutes (lots of transport options too). Rooms were clean and comfortable, the lockers under each bed were very handy, though you need to bring your own lock. Kitchen was big with everything you need to cook a meal, and breakfast for 50p was... More

Was worried after reading reviews that the hostel was infested with rats, but gladly we didn't see any. I stayed for one night in this hostel with a friend, our room was located a couple blocks from the main building. Although we didn't spend much time at the hostel, we enjoyed our stay. It was clean, nice, decent beds and... More

First thing you need to read is that there are rats throughout the whole building. if you have food in your bag they will be in you bag in minutes. This place is one of the most u friendly hostels I have stayed at in Europe. The staff were mainly Spanish and kept to themselves. they seemed to have a... More

This places only upside is its location. Only has stairs so if you enjoy hauling luggage up bunches of stairs this place is for you. Also if you are a fan of rodents crawling around your bags and under your bed, even better because this place can supply that. If you are Australian you will be put on a low... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
