I stayed here for 5 days over Christmas and have stayed there a couple of times before that for shorter periods! Firstly the staff at reception and the bar were some of the friendliest people I've met at a reception, when they weren't working they were down having a few drinks with you as well and having a great time!... I've stayed in two other hostels that are in the St. Christopher's Inn chain - the excellent one at Gare du Nord, Paris, and the great Czech Inn in Prague. Unfortunately, this hostel doesn't live up to the high standards set by it's partners. I stayed at the 'Inn,' in a six bed dorm for a night in January 2015.... More

Did a Euro-trip in June of 2014 and tried to stay with St. Christopher's as much as possible. This is with zero prior experience with them. London bridge was excellent. A little maze-like as people have stated on here but doesn't at all effect your trip. Great location and Borough St market was excellent. Lots of lockers/ foot lockers to... More

The price is quite good, more or less 20€ night. The place smell like alcohol and the bath are too dirty. The rooms are quite big for what you pay. You have some pubs near to drink some beer. The breakfast is included, for free!

Easy to find, not complicated. Liked the bar down below and the eating in the area wasn't bad. Small rooms, but a good value. Nice location within the city. Near Borough Market and also a tube station. Interior is a little maze-like, but certainly not too difficult to manage for anyone with half a brain.

We spent a weekend there and the experience was hideous. Facilities such as the lavatories were in a deplorable shape, we could hear all the noise coming from the street even with the windows closed. The treatment of the hostel staff was quite nasty. To many things to improve. The only positive thing, people we met there.

If you're looking for a quintessentially British experience, I would recommend the Inn at London Bridge. Situated above a bar, the hallways are tiny and winding like many old unconverted buildings in London. The rooms are also small, some of the smallest I've seen with St. Christopher's, and bathrooms are sparse. The window didn't close and there were only two... More

I was traveling from Paris to London, and I was only going to be one night at England before traveling to Ireland. So I look up for a place near London Bridge Station, so I find St. Christopher's. I can't say too much of it because it was only to sleep, literally, but to be short, the good things are:... More

The location is good. It is a clean hostel but very noisy. The notice even with no music is very loud from people talking inthe street. They charge for storing lugguage after checkout at 10 in the morning. Good free breakfast but there are better hostels in London for the same rate.

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
