If you are staying near the London bridge tube station, everything closes around midnight except the St. Christopher Inn. This is a great pub with a varied beer selection. Tips: go on Wednesdays and Fridays to hear Sean Jackson, a talented and fun acoustic guitar player. Also, they do not serve food, so eat before you arrive.

Sheets were dirty. And breakfast was not good at all. But location is perfect if you want to visit the main attractions like tower bridge, london brigde etc., and also the zone has a lot of small restaurants and markets and its near borough market.

Was there for three nights last week. Totally worth it: cheap, great location, excelent food, and very good service, they helped me and my girlfriend carrying luggage to our room. Also very nice taste for decoration! I definitely recomend it!

The location of the hostel is great, only from walking distance for the London Bridge Underground station. From there you can connect to all majors lines which will bring you to all the major attractions. The free breakfast isn't great but there is other alternative around the hostel for pretty cheap. As per the room keep in mind that this... More

4-bed dorm is nice but cosy. You have to check-in and -out up the road at The Village. Bathrooms are not particularly great however, and overall a better experience can be had at St. Christopher's Village (where you checked in) for a generally lower price.

Hey there! Thank you for your feedback, it makes us really happy to hear that our guests like our hotel. Due to the historical building our hostel is in we can't change the structure and make more space for the reception. But the check - in is only 2 minutes walk from us. If you have difficulties carrying your luggage... More

I initially thought it was a nice pub as myself and my colleagues used to visit fairly regularly. But one evening I had the misfortune to be served by the manager. He served me a lager and a wine - charged for a large but filled it to a medium! I went back to the bar and told him and... More

Had a great time at this hostel! It's in a great location right at the exit off the London bridge underground which makes getting around the city easy. The borough market is across the street as well which has amazing food. Fresh flowers, fruit, veggies, cheese, meat, wine, sausages, pastries, everything you could possibly want. The staff was very friendly... More

Nice restauarant area at the back of the pub which was like a separate area and quite tranquil. Fish and chips with crushed minted peas was lovely. Bit slow on the service but nice enough. Would visit again

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
