A good value in very pricy central London. I chose it for proximity to the St Pancras – Kings Cross station complex. It’s more like a B&B that a hotel, but it has an elevator and front desk. It has no restaurants, but there are plenty of restaurants in the area.

Stayed for one night. Room very small, bathroom had the smallest shower I have ever seen, barley able to turn around in it. The exhaust fan did not work and had not for a long time as the smell was unbearable, when reported at check out the manager only seemed half interested. The breakfast was very good and the staff... I booked this hotel 2 days ago (20/11/2014) through booking.com and guaranteed with credit card. Up on booking it clearly says pay when you stay and my stay is for the 20th December and that's almost a month. Today i get a call saying they want to charge my card but there was no such conditions up on the time... More

I stayed at the Mabledon Court for a few nights and initially I was shocked at the place, the lift is from the former Soviet times and one of the first to be installed. The bed room was small and believe me I have seen some rooms in my time across many Continents but this takes the biscuit for sure.... More

I booked late and needed somewhere close to St Pancras International. The hotel looks ok from the outside but appearances can be deceptive. The receptionist was surly, more intent on watching his TV than in greeting with any warmth. When later I complained that the WiFi wasn't working and told him the message that had appeared on screen he huffily... More

I found this on lastminute and was initially dubious as it was quite cheap, but don;t worry, this is a good value hotel. There was loads of hot water and a powerful shower, the bed was comfy and clean, the road outside not too noisy and the breakfast better than adequate. There are better hotels in town obviously, but for... More

My partner booked this hotel for pay off my birthday present. The only good thing about this place is the location but that's where it ends. The room including the bathroom is the size of an average bedroom. The 'bathroom' smelt damp. The toilet was dirty on arrival. The fixed shower head was only suitable for someone under 5ft tall.... Late rooms.com posted this hotel as having its room rate reduced from £450 to £125 for one night. That sounded like a bargain, but was in fact deliberately deceptive as it would never have gone for the higher amount. In fact, even though it is in the center of London, the room is worth £50 at most. The double room... More

Great location only a 5 min walk from Kings cross station. lovely welcome from the chap on reception and the 1pm check in was ideal for us to drop our bags in our room and have a plesant walk 30-45 min into the centre of the west end. After a day on our feet and taking in a show we... More

Terrible. I have never seen a room or bed that was so small. Almost impossible to have a shower because it is so small. Tired and in need of decorating. We asked for tea at breakfast and it was served in a milk jug with no lid. Will not be back here

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
