I and six colleagues have just spent two nights(3rd and 4th July) in this wonderful hotel. From the moment we checked in we were made most welcome by very helpful and courteous staff. Nothing was a trouble to anyone, and all requests were dealt with efficiently and with a smile on the face (not always seen in busy London hotels).... More

Last minute trip to London; a last minute deal for a night stop at the hotel. Excellent room with everything that one could wish for. Can't fault it and would definitely use again. The room had two king size double beds, slippers and dressing gowns provided and an excellent coutesy tray with flavoured teas and good quality coffee.

Firstly let me say that the staff in this hotel are superb. Friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning a plus during June. The pool is good for relaxing on a hot summer day and has a sauna and steam room. Although be warned that it used for pilates classes on a Monday and Thursday... More

The Holborn is a welcoming place, the staff are very attentive and pleasant. Nothing is too much trouble. The room was lovely, clean and of a high standard. The hotel is situated in quite a central area, near various good standard restaurants, tube stations and is within walking distance of attractions. This is our second time there and we booked... Central Location for Museum, Theatre, Shopping Central London. Exterior does not truly reflect lovely interior. Spacious comfortable room that was quiet even though situated on main street. Lovely restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Very pleasant staff.

We stayed for 4 nights, got a spacious room with 2 big beds, it was a corner room so i got 2 windows, each with a fantastic view. Breakfast choice was not a lot, but everything was good. Bathroom was a bit small (compared to the big room) but amenities were complete. It is walking distance to British Museum, n... More

I stay here quite often as it's near to work and on our preferred list. It's in a great central location and the staff are friendly, although the check in desk is tiny and there are often queues so leave plenty of time to check in and out. The place itself is dated and certainly not a five star. If... More

The hotel just looks grand in the reception but is far from being a five-star hotel. Despite very expensive rates( breakfast not included) the room we stayed in ( family room second floor) badly needed refurbishing, it was beaten up and quite ruined, and did not look very clean. One of the lamps was not working. We had to ask... More

the Grange Holborn is very close to Holborn Tube station making it a good location for a visitor to London. The decor feels dated and the guest rooms and dining area might benefit from an overhaul. The room allocated to my had the tiniest of bathrooms. The bathroom door when open hit the sink which is less than ideal. On... More

This hotel is in dire need of a ground up refurb in order to bring it to anything like international standards. The staff are keen and clearly well intentioned but sadly they can do nothing to make up for the fact that the decor, facilities and standards of this hotel have clearly not been revisited since the early eighties. I... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
