Stayed here in July 2014 on a Superbreak deal purely because it was close to Euston. The hotel is run by Romanian staff who speak reasonable English but not always friendly. Check in went smoothly enough and proceeded up the 1930's lift to our room. Hotel corridor carpets had seen better days and so did not have very high expectations... More

The Hotel is in a very bad condition. It is filthy and the service is bad, seeing as the IHL Group employes just people from foreign countries who can't speak English properly. Very poor experience. I would never recommend this Hotel or any Imperial Hotel Group to anyone.

I found this hotel to be one of the most central and to a certian extent the cheapest. This is my second review of this hotel, the other dating back a couple of years. I stay here everytime i visit London and always had the same service. What I mean is that it has not improved. I will keep on... More

After passing the ubiquitous smokers at the front entrance (why do they allow this?) the welcome was efficient, friendly and helpful and the front desk staff were really good at helping us find the right room. We were allocated a refurbished room. It didn't feel refurbished unfortunately because the decor was done to complement the era and character of the... More

We have stayed in the Imperial Hotels for a few years now, and in December 2013 I gave 5 stars, today I give it 3. This was the first time we have taken the In Laws with us, and we have always said "good value for money", which they are. But on this occasion, reception and bar staff were rude... More

We spent 2 nights here, very conveniently located a short distance from St Pancras Station. The room was on the small side, but very clean, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was compact and the towels were rather thin but the shower was very powerful. Other people have commented that the only toiletries provided are small bars of soap, but that's... More

Small double room with en suite which just enough room to stand in. Had to change rooms due to plumbing issues. Art Deco design in public areas. Free breakfast, buffet style either continental or full English. Plenty of food and attentive staff, topping up tea and coffee. Would like better quality, larger towels and better pillows as they had no... More

The Tavistock is reasonably priced for the area, provided you take advantage of the various hotel search engines. Room was a little on the small size for a twin but clean and warm. Check in and service was very efficient and all of the staff I encountered were polite and helpful. The continental breakfast was very basic as was the... More

I stayed for study and exam Best quality for price compared to others arround Russell Square. I didn't like that there no network in rooms even if you want to pay extra the option is not available. The staff are friendly the food quality is good and abundant near by restaurants.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
