Stayed for 5 days, it's a little tired in places but it's clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly. Breakfast is superb and plentiful. The view from the rooms on the front are fab overlooking the park. Jacques Bar is the cheapest prices around.

Excellent service from Front of House. Restaurant staff varied in their friendliness but the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The decor was a bit tired in places but very clean. Such good value for London in a popular but not too noisy area.

If you stay two nights you get a free evening meal. This is taken in the adjoining bistro/wine bar and we were pleasantly surprised when it was really nice. We ate there the second night too and a bottle of wine was reasonable. But what a grumpy guy in charge of breakfasts! Food was OK but he was a bit... More

I recently visited London and stayed at the Tavistock hotel for 3 nights. The location of the hotel was pretty good. The tube was just a short walk from the hotel and there were several bus stops around the hotel. The area where the hotel is located was very pretty and had quite a bit to offer in terms of... More

I stayed at The Tavistock once again this June for 18 nights. This was my sixth longish visit and once again I had a great time. This hotel meets my needs perfectly. I love the full English Breakfast and the wait staff are very attentive and extremely welcoming. It is a great feeling to be treated as a very welcome... More

We read a lot of negative reviews on this site before our stay and wasn't fully looking forward to staying here. However, We we're pleasantly surprised to find the staff helpful and friendly. The room was large and very spacious. We did book a double room but found ourselves in a twin. This didn't bother us as it was only... More

Hotel is convenient to busses and underground, is reasonably priced and close to British Museum. A huge hotel but has all amenities and was very clean. I stayed there for 6 days, had all my questions answered by the staff and enjoyed the time.

We stayed here for trip to see the lion king, very easy to find and get to from kings cross station, either by taxi or on the tube to Russell Square. Lovely location looking on to the gardens. The hotel is a little dated but it is lovely and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasgreat ,... More

This is the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel. It is very good value for money. There may be slight shortcomings in the facilities in the room, but it is very clean and comfortable. The staff are very pleasant especially the waiting staff at breakfast. It would be helpful to the staff if the management provided bigger cups... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
