Centrally located one in the east London on 6-7 minute walk from the British Museum. 300 meters from the subway station Russell Squaer. There are many shops for food and drinks, restaurants and bars. Our room was 520 overlooking the park, there are not air condition, fridge and hairdryer. Against £ 20 deposit received hairdryer. Continental breakfast consists only cornflakes and... More

Nothing fancy, but at a good price in a good location, it was exactly what I was looking for. One downside was no wifi in the rooms, although the lobby and bar area have plenty of seating for everyone looking for wifi access. Staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable. The free breakfast was not very good, I... More

great location, two options for breakfast (continental or full English - both priced differently). This hotel has a massive number of rooms. I was unlucky enough to be on the side next to the air conditioning vent which kept me awake most of the night

This hotel is reasonable price compare to the location and what the hotel offer you a service. Though the room is a bit small , of course this is London but it is very clean. Beside the good location, the neighborhood is great too. few minutes walk from the hotel you will find the Brunswick area with lovely cafe and... More

Breakfast........well....basic, but very basic and cheapest quality. THe staff again....tired, demotivated, indifferent, they like to talk to each other , they like to tell you where you have to seat. NO WIFI, no in... More

The hotel is fine nothing fancy, but does the job as they say. Reception staff always friendly and polite. Can get a bit noisy if you are by the lift, and very hot if you are on top floor as no air conditioning. Breakfast is fine but depending if you arrive at the wrong time you might have to queue.... A creepily out of date hotel more reminiscent of the 1930's scenes of the Overlook Hotel in 'The Shining'. We were not even allowed to check in an hour early for our 4 year old daughter to change into her flower girl wedding dress. It was not their policy to inform you if your room was ready but she could... More

Had a great 4 days in this hotel, rooms were good and clean, the staff were great and couldn't do enough for us, breakfast was very tasty and plenty to go round, got a free 3 course dinner in Jacques bar in the hotel on our first night because we booked 2 nights or more and it was delicious. Hotel... More

Stayed again at the TAVISTOCK HOTEL. This time overnight before and after a trip on Eurostar. Away from the hustle of KINGS CROSS but only a short bus/tube to KINGS CROSS/ST PANCRAS or can walk to both. Checking in is easy and you can leave luggage when you arrive before time. Luggage can also be left for the day after... More

Friendly polite staff and an excellent Breakfast. Hotel spotlessly clean. The room we had was very small indeed and at the back of the hotel which is very noisy; there is no air conditioning and I would insist on a room at the front if staying again. Convenient for the British Museum and St Pancras for Eurostar.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
