Having stayed here on several occasions my experience has been varied. The hotel has an Art Deco design but unfortunately some of the rooms don't follow this as they are tired and requiring refurbishment. The breakfast is buffet style with a good selection but found that the cold section was limited. Free WiFi is in the reception area only. The... More

We have stayed at the Tavistock many times before and chose to return this January as we knew we would have a comfortable and very clean room. the staff are welcoming and friendly, and we always enjoy an excellent breakfast. Easy to get to on a number of buses, we will choose to stay here again.

Tired, but the price reflects it so you shouldn't expect frills. It is well placed though, a few minutes from Euston in one direction and Covent Garden in the other. If you're looking for a value place to stay in a good location then you can't go far wrong

We booked a new year break We got a family room a double and a single bed. This was L shape and suprisingly large. We had a good wet room ensuite The carpark is under the national Royal next door. £17 per day. We dumped the car for the whole stay as we were 1 mile from the theatres and... More

Our room was on the forth floor and street noises especially those of late night drunken revelers was quite bad. The room was comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was terrible and management need to go back to the drawing board on this one! Russel Square tube station and the Brunswick Shopping Mall were close by and convenient.

I have visited London on business or leisure some 25-30 times and always stay at a hotel of the Imperial Group, in the Russell Square area. The Imperial Hotel Group is still one of the best priced hotels in London. It is respectable, and enjoys a good area with excellent underground, and bus connections to almost everywhere else in London.... More

Sayed for 2 nights last week. Great location, short walk from Kings Cross Station and close to both Euston Station and Russell Square tube. The hotel has a lovely retro art deco look to it from reception/bar to the bedrooms. The rooms was warm, probably as we were on 7th floor, we even had to sleep with windows open the... More

Stayed for 1 night on 20/12/14. Location very conveniant. 100 yards or so from London Euston train Station, has 3 tube stations within walking distance so you can easily get around London. The room was fine, bit damp by the windows but a great view of the park at the front and was a big room. On Sute bathroom was... More

We have stayed at the Tavistock many times. The rooms are comfortable and this time we had a view of Tavistock Gardens which is lovely. We like the location being in easy walking distance of Euston Square, Russell Square, or Goodge Street underground stations and within thirty minutes walk of theatreland with the advantage of walking beautiful terraced streets and... Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
