The location was central, within walking distance to Hyde Park and many restaurants. The breakfast offered cereal, toast, and a delicious traditional English breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, and tomato) that got us ready for our day. The staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived early and was able to "freshen up" in our room before it was ready. The... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night on a city break to London. Its walking distance from trains/tubes and near nice pubs and restaurants. They offer baggage storage before and after check in/out and they staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They also have onsite parking. The rooms were small, but clean and very good value for money. Beds... More

I was really worried about going to this hotel after reading the reviews on here. I don't think they give a fair representation of the hotel. The owners have two hotels, The Admiral and The Kingsway, there is only one other hotel between them so reception is in The Kingsway and this is the one we stayed in, although we... More

We stayed here for one night as a family of four. Reviews weren't good but we thought we got what we payed for. When you pay less than a hundred pounds for a family of four in the city centre within walking distance to lots of the sights then it's great. Paddington tube was 2/3 mins walk. Hyde park around... The Admiral hotel is an central location, very close to Paddington metro station (serves 3 lines) and Lancaster Gate (serves 1 line). There are total 4 lines for the undeground in the area. This is very useful for a tourist who wants to use metro for exploring quickly the city. Unfortunately we were so disapointed when they gave us our... More

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in my entire life. Did not get the room I paid for, cracks on the wall, smelly very old style furniture and beddings. Did not get the room even on the second day. I got a very small one no space, no windows, very smelly very broke down. The roof fan almost fell down, it... More

Booked a couple of nights at this hotel to meet up with friends who had already made a reservation at this hotel. The hotel seems to cater largely for tourists from Europe on a tight budget and who have reserved online. On arrival, we found we were to stay in another hotel a couple of doors along the road from... More

I booked 4 rooms at this hotel based on the admiral write up and photographs. On arrival, I was told that 1 room had been cancelled because I had made 2 seperate bookings (an extra person joined us so needed extra room) they assumed I had mistakenly booked my fourth room. They only thought to ask on the day of... More

Hotel booked well in advance. Group of six ladies. Not checked reviews until the day of travel and as all others,we were kept waiting and not put in the hotel stated on confirmation. We were told that the manager was not available and after a while relocated in to a hotel near by!!. The breakfast offered at the Lancaster was... More

I had some problems with this hotel. I booked months in advance - June to stay in September - and even then they put me in a room downstairs (should I say basement?). Kind of claustrophobic as there was no window, only a hatch that could be opened or closed depending on the weather! Then the TV remote control was... More
