Easily took the train from Waterloo to Hampton Court then spent 3 FULL hours exploring the Castle (including the Chapel and kitchen) and the expansive gardens. Underrated but, worth the trip! Not just stuffy history (which I love) but, interesting exhibits on cooking, gardening,...

Oh dear, first impression from the outside, run down, inside it doesn't get any better. Everywhere you look, it's shabby. Tread bare carpets, lamps missing from lights, table lamps that don't work, toilets that take 20 mins to refill, doors kicked in, tread bare curtains, taps with tops missing, glass shower screen about to fall off the bath, shower with... The location of this ex urban estate pub is less than 10 minutes from the E&C roundabout, and my single bedroom on the top 2nd floor was very shabby and threadbare. The suitcase rest frame was no longer usable, since 2 of the 3 material straps were completely worn through. The toilet seat was missing hinge, and the cobwebs were... More

I only paid £40 for the night and the room was big and the bed was very comfy. The complimentary breakfast was good. The staff told me stay in the room a bit longer after checkout, all because I said I was tired! Very good! The only bad bit was a horrendously loud mechanical whirring sound that goes on constantly... More

This is not the best part of London and its location above a pub is worrying. However the pub is closed and the hotel is a short walk from Elephant & Castle tube station which is well connected to most tourist spots. Downstairs does not create an immediate good impression with well worn furniture and carpets. However the room, once... More

I stayed here for one night and found the hotel to be a pub with rooms. The reception area looked like a bar and was dimly lit. Check-in was easy and I was given my key. The door looked to have a key card entry but there was a key hole beneath it. It's an old pub and the decor... More

This hotel is hideous, and what the advertise is complete lies! 1) The Area. If you want to stay on a street where cars rev their engines and blare music out all night, then this hotel is perfect for you. Its not a nice area to be in, and is very intimidating as a woman on her own. It was... More

The only redeeming factor of the cold-water shower in the morning was that it fully woke me up after a poor night's sleep on a mattress that could only be described as spring-bare. What I don't understand is that attention to detail had been provided in some respects, like vanity supplies, toilet rolls folded neatly, but none of it took... More

Very rude, unprofessional staff. Dirty rooms...unpleasant odours. Very evident that the management haven't run a hotel before...quite scary really. Only marginally better than sleeping rough on the streets.
