Stayed here over half term with our kids. Fantastic location close to London Eye, London Dungeon and South Bank centre. Friendly helpful staff, great breakfast, easy to check in and out, food in restaurant very nice (with excellent staff), and reasonable rates. What's not to like? We will definitely stay here again on future trips to London...

Great value, comfortable, clean, good facilities in the room, all you need. This was our third visit (5th floor, stayed 12th December) and we will definitely be back. I remember this building as the GLC offices and what a coup for Premier Inn that they've secured it. We travel up from the south coast for our stays and it's less... More

First, a complaint. Why didn't Premier Inn scale an electric shaver plug into their refurbishment programme. A little thing, but its absence is damn irritating! Otherwise, this is the standard Premier Inn offering in a superb location next to the London Eye and very close to Waterloo railway station. The staff are friendly and helpful, both in the reception area... More

Have stayed in a few of these before and they can vary quite a bit, but county hall is great, fantastic position just behind london eye in southbank so only a couple of mins walk from southbank centre and Westminster or Waterloo stations. Plenty of restaurants and bars near by also. Staff here are fantastic, even when reception looks really... More

For location and value for money, this is a great hotel. No frills, not luxury, but straight forward, clean, warm and comfortable. Good choice for a quick stop over in London, just south of the river near Westminster, close to several tube stations. All in all good find!

If anybody is looking for a central London hotel with excellent staff, comfort and value for money I would definitely recommend this premier in hotel. The hotel is located within the same building as the Marriot hotel and their prices were treble the price of this Hotel.

If you want a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel with left luggage room in central London this is the one for you. Can't fault it, staff, rooms and location all ideal. The only problem will be if too many people cotton on.

We stayed on a Sunday night here whilst enjoying a two day trip around London. We had a family room for 2 plus 2 which was comfortable enough except for my daughter's rollaway bed which had the consistency of a mattress base, not a mattress. As Premier Inn guarantees a good night's sleep, we got house-keeping in and they said... More

We had a four night stay at this hotel early December. Would definitely recommend . An excellent location for many of the attractions, Palace of Westminster , London Eye, River cruises and many more. Only a few minutes walk from the underground and a main line station. An amazing Breakfast selection. Comfy Bar and a good size dining room with... More

We stayed for two nights last weekend. The room was a good size and as other reviewers said the place is clean and the staff are helpful. Our room was quiet and overlooked jubilee gardens and we enjoyed the view. Things I would like to mention that may be helpful to others that were a concern was that the safe... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
