If you are looking for a modern city hotel, this is not the ideal place. But if you are looking for a lokal hidden away gem, with a friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, small rooms, nice people and a lovely neighboorhood . Vert good Italian restaurant, serviceminded,. This has become my second home. Recommended!!!!!!!

Just returned from La Gaffe, which offers a very nice accomodation with good food in a lovely - not for mass tourism - part of London. Price was reasonable. Room nice and neat. Staff was extremely friendly and flexible. Hampstead Heath tube station is only within two-minutes walk (all that matters in London). The Heath itself within five. The whole... More

Small inn attached to an Italian restaurant! The rooms are clean with GIANT lovely bathrooms. The service is amazing with very nice owners and workers. I think the neighborhood is the best kept secret in London, Hampstead! The hotel is located close to the Tube stop and there are great restaurants all over the neighborhood including the one attached to... More

Just returned from a very pleasant stay at La Gaffe. The hotel is lovely full of Italian charm, set in a part of London ideal for a more relaxing visit, close to tube station with several shops to browse on the way. Rooms are very clean, cosy and comfortable, nice spacious bathroom. The staff are fantastic from the moment you... More

Just returned from a lovely weekend in Hampstead and found this unique hotel with its excellent restaurant a refreshing change from the usual chain of hotels. The owner and staff were very welcoming and the breakfast and coffee were good. The rooms are very small, close together and the shower rooms are clean, modern, but tiny and would be difficult... We have just returned from a 4 night stay at La Gaffe. I would say the hotel was reasonable value for money for London, our room was clean and averagely furnished. The restaurant has a lot of character and the area is a lovely area in London and was chosen specifically as it is central but you still feel a... More

Excellent three night stay at La Gaffe. I had a single room away from the street so it was very quiet. The room was tiny but nicely decorated with a television mounted on the wall and plenty of light. The bathroom was small as well but very clean and in good working order. Great self serve continental breakfast with many... More

Met at the restaurant for a family lunch with elderly parents. Right in the heart of Hampstead, only 5 minutes from the tube. Really good Italian food, very well priced and large portions. Staff very friendly, if a little slow but could not fault the great food. Would eat there again and stay at their very reasonable priced rooms!

Stayed at La Gaffe in May 2014 so we could be near our daughter who was living in Hampstead Heath. The hotel is above the restaurant which is fasioned in the old traditional Italian decor. To get up to the rooms you have to walk up a very narrow set of stairs, some of which would definitely not be suitable... More

We loved this place. When we had many enormous bags (this visit was the start of a four month journey), the proprietor cheerfully brought them up the stairs to our room on the top floor. The location is outstanding, close to shops (try the great bakery down the street from the underground station), and not too expensive. Breakfast was included... More
