Just back from an overnight stay at the Adare Hotel. Wanted somewhere convenient for St Marys Hospital and the location was perfect - just around the corner from the hospital and Paddington Station. Situated on a very pretty road, the Adare is a 20-room hotel. We received a warm welcome by the guy on reception. Our room was small, basic... more

Stayed one night, July 23. Arrived tired and weary at approx 15h00. Was given no assistance whatsoever from porter/receptionist/concierge, in fact he was rude and refused to listen to something I wanted to explain to him. I think he was more interested in his TV program. Contrast this with the young man who was on night duty and did everything... more

WE stayed here for one night and it was the worst night of my life. We got to the room and it was small, dirty, paint was peeling off the walls and the ceiling. Also nothing worked in the room toilet,tv,and sink. It was also very loud during the whole night. We thought it was very strange that a large net... more

THIS WAS A HORRIBLE HOTEL EXPERIENCE. We arrived at the hotel as we booked on Orbitz and had the voucher that we were supposed to print that showed we prepaid . The man at the front counter, who didn't understand English very well was very rude and insisted that he would have to charge us again AND we only had... more

I reserved a room at the Adare for December and right from the start I asked explanations on why the price they confirmed to me is different and higher than that advertised on their web-site and they never explained. When I later e-mailed to cancel my reservation (20 days before arrival) they advised I have to pay a cancellation fee.... more

Booked in for the week, only stayed one night. Among the many complaints: Once turned on, the shower that would not turn off. Shower cubicle door broken so would not close. Only one towel supplied per person. No light bulbs in any of the light fittings except for one small bedside lamp. Hairdryer supplied so hot to use it would... more

My stay at the Adare was booked as part of a 2-city package that included air, hotel(s), and flight between the 2 cities. Averaged out, my off-season stay at the Adare was inexpensive, so I was ok with it (had I paid big $ for the Adare, I may not have been 'ok'). As I always do, I am breaking... more

My husband and I just stayed 4 days at Hotel Adare. First impression was that it was old with small rooms, but it looked okay - until we went to bed in the evening. We nearly got a chok - the bed springs were literally just beneath the surface of the madras. Also the room we stayed in were downstairs,... more
