The hotel is right in the middle of all of the sights of London, just a few steps from The Mall for a lovely walk down to Buckingham Palace. Great view from our room of Trafalgar Square. Lovely big rooms, very quiet too even though it is in the middle of a very busy tourist area. Great breakfast with a... More

We visited here on the 24/08/15 for a couple of nights. The staff were extremely nice and couldn't do enough to help. The breakfast was also good although not a great selection of hot food but plenty of other choices. I would say a visit to the rooftop bar was a must as the view was fab! I would definitely... More

One of the best locations in London, next to Trafalgar Square and walking distance to theatres, Oxford Street, Big Ben and Parliament House. Our 4th trip to London, this is by far the best location. Hotel staff are very friendly and obliging. Breakfast is fantastic with great selection and quality. Royal makes the best omelets in London and nothing is... More

Loved this hotel and would definitely return. Had a deluxe room and was very impressed with the decor and bathroom. The bed was advertised as a king but it was huge and much bigger than the king at home. Bit of a weird layout and not very well positioned light switches, one behind the wardrobe?! The position of the hotel... More

4 of us went to the Trafalgar hotel to have a midday lunch in the Vista bar on the roof. It has outstanding views across the whole area. We had a nice selection of cakes and other delicacies with a beer and cocktails. Found it over expensive but as there is a queue to get in they can get away... More

...and the views from the rooftop bar are worth a visit even if you aren't staying at the hotel, fantastic vistas across Trafalgar Square and the environs, if you have a sunny evening then even better. Hotel was fine, expensive considering you pay extra for breakfast but it's the location that makes this worth a stay. 2 mins from the... More

We had a suite with a view of Nelson's Column but at the side of the hotel so not too noisy. The suite was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Two good sized flat screen tvs. Good bathroom with powerful "in bath" shower. Multi storey parking near by, which was essential for our visit. Valet parking was not available.... More

Stayed over a weekend in early August. The hotel has a great location - right on Trafalgar Square. Public transport is easily accessible - buses and tube - and the HopOn HopOff Bus Tours leave from very nearby. There are also many places to eat in the vicinity. Check in was carried out by a very helpful and polite receptionist... More

Nice hotel, perfect location, friendly staff. The rooms could use a little makeover. it looks a little too basic for a Hilton standard. The rooftop bar is very nice and so are the cocktails! Overall I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

So central ...for theatres, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, good restaurants and the embankment. Car park if required at the back of the hotel, choice of tube lines and bus routes. Rooms are a good size ...staff helpful and friendly. In addition there is a very nice roof top bar with views of London.

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
