I regularly stay at this hotel when in London for business. It's a Fullers hotel, which means that there are Fullers' ales and a fairly standard pub menu in the bar downstairs. The Mad Hatter faces onto Stamford Street on the corner of Blackfriars Bridge and the rooms on the front can suffer from traffic noise at times. All of... More

In an overpriced London hotel scene this is brilliant. Within stricking distance of the London sights, near Southwark tube, this hotel is friendly, clean, inexpensive (via late rooms), historical (former hat factory) and it's above a great Fullers pub! More

I have recently been for a shoppers weekend in London with my daughter. Stayed at the Mad Hatte Hotel in Southwark. Very convenient while still being in a slightly quieter location. Near to Southwark and Waterloo tube stations and a regular bus service just around the corner. Room was very good, clean, comfortable, well furnished. Not too expensive (£250 for... More

It's best to think of this place as a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. It's got a good atmosphere, friendly staff and the location is great, just a short walk from Southwark tube and at the south end of Blackfriars Bridge. We had a superior room and I guess that just meant it was bigger. The accomodation is... More

Stayed for three nights over New Year. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We asked for a quiet room and that is exactly what we got (at the back of the hotel, with minimal traffic noise from the nearby busy road junction). The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bed linen was clean and of nice quality; we... More

We stayed here whilst visiting our son at University. It was ideal, as it was just a short walk away from his student halls on Stamford Street, but far enough away not to embarrass him! From check in to check out,it was effortless. The staff were helpful and friendly, but not in your face. I like that. The rooms, warm, clean, comfortable and well equipped.... More

We stayed here for one night - not our first choice but pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, well equipped, quiet and comfortable - at the back of the hotel, which helped. Bed was excellent. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Hotel section is well tucked away from the pub, so no noise or disturbance. Breakfast was served in the pub... More

Having lived in London, and having friends and family visit, I learned that hotels in london are often best and affordable when they're a B&B or locally owned. This hotel had wonderful reviews, and was near the area we wanted to be for the first few days of sightseeing. Although the afternoon staff and morning staff were quite kind, the... More

I arrived at the hotel a little early, around 2pm, the receptionist was terrific, booking and check in were immediate. I went up in the elevator to 304 (top floor) and found a decent bedroom with a decent bathroom. The bed was comfy; pillows good and there were no noises from adjacent rooms or outside so I slept very well.... More
