Great value, comfortable. Very central - walking distance from Covent Garden. Great staff. Would have given it 5 out of 5 had it had tea and coffee facilities in the room! Fantastic breakfast. I would stay there again as an overnight business clean bed and nice shower!

We rented two rooms at the Morgan winter of 2013-14 and were very pleased with the accomodations. The breakfast was great - choice of sausages, toast, hot cereals, eggs, etc. One room had a private patio ensconsed in shrubery - very nice. The staff were very pleasant and informative. Nice access to the tube and the British Museum is around... More

Morgan Hotel is as you see it in the pictures (though the duvets are white nowadays). It is a family owned hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are clean and comfortable. You are at walking distance from many of the main attractions in the city and it is also very well connected with the tube. There are... More

We walked in...cold turkey...and were lucky enough to get the back room with a garden. Bed was lovely and comfortable, room was great, the breakfast was sensational and our host, John, was so friendly and jovial serving breakfasts to two rooms full of guests. Have no difficulty in giving this establishment full marks for everything. Loved our stay. If you... More

Lovely small inn located in Bloomsbury. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment with my daughter -- could not have been more perfect. Great amount of space, very clean, excellent breakfast included in price, wonderful location for museums, for shopping, and for eating out. The innkeepers were very accommodating to us -- letting my daughter leave her luggage while she moved... More

My husband and I just spent three days at this lovely hotel. I'm sure the reason he picked it is becauss his name is Morgan. But it was a great pick! It is centrally located and we were able to walk to the theater disltrict, Buckingham Palace, The Eye of London, etc. Big John, Little John and Little David were... More

Wonderful location and very friendly innkeeper, but this felt more like a hostel than a boutique hotel. Wifi was very weak/nonexistent in our room (3rd floor). Great breakfast but only served until 9 am. Housekeeping will not make up room after 11 am. Water went out on our last night and was not turned back on until sometime the next... More

I looked for location, as I wanted to be close to the British Museum. The Morgan, right around the corner, fit the bill. The rooms were clean, quiet, and small, like most British hotels. What made this place special, however, was the warm hospitality of the long time owners (70+ years). particularly brother John, who runs the place. He cheerfully... More

We stay at the Morgan as often as we can when we're in London. Problem is, now that this little gem has been "discovered" we can't stay as often as we used to, as it is often booked full. So, if you want a room here, book well in advance. It's charming, and I have only stayed in their flats.... More

Our family has stayed at the Morgan Hotel on-and-off for almost thirty years. It is a special place with a great attitude and location. Moreover, it offers a charming change from the overly trendy that seems to dominate London boutique hotels these days.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
