Located on a quiet crescent near Bloomsbury, this hotel offers good breakfasts in a pleasant dining room. Rooms are clean and no smaller than comparable hotels in the area. There is good wifi and a comfortable sitting room. It is convenient to Russell Sq. and Kings Cross/St. Pancras. My wife and I always stay here when we visit London. We... More

We're staying at the Harlingford Hotel for three nights, but would caution that the room that we've been given as a double is barely large enough for one person to move around in. It's difficult to open a suitcase. Also be aware that there is a large construction site opposite the hotel. Overall very disappointing, but impossible to obtain a... More

The Harlingford is one of several hotels carved out of a converted Half Moon Row of Townhouses on Cartwright Garden in the Bloomsbury district of London. Easy walking distance to the Russell Square and King's Cross Tube stations, it is an economical gem of a "pure accommodations" hotel. If you're looking for luxurious pampering, skip it. If you want a... More

We wanted to stay in this area as there are a number of reasonably priced hotels, it's a great central location with good transport connections and there are top attractions nearby. This hotel we chose based on reviews and we are glad we stayed here. The room was small but fine by London standards, with a very nice cooked breakfast... More

My friend from the UK and I stayed in a twin room at the Harlingford in order to attend the Chelsea Flower Show. Being within an easy walk of Kings Cross station was a major factor in choosing to stay there as well as being convenient to take the Piccadilly line direct to Heathrow airport. The twin room was clean,... More

Very good value. Friendly staff. Room 16 a comfortable double. Easy walk to Euston train station and Tube stop, also Russell Square Tube stop for getting in from Heathrow. Room was kept clean and tidy. Breakfast choices included full English but also fruit and yogourt.

We chose the hotel because of its proximity to Kings Cross railway station and Russell Square Tube stop. We were taking the train north so being close to the rail was a huge plus. We took the Piccadilly Line into the city from Heathrow (about an hour trip) and walked from Kings Cross - easy even with fairly large suitcases.... More

I travel to London 2/3 times a year, so I believe I can safely say I have a good idea of the level of hotels and B&Bs. As I said in the title, the Harlingford really is a cut above the rest. Recently renovated and spotlessly clean. We had the triple superior, which was a good size. There's wooden boards... More

Stayed at Harlingford this last weekend. Proximity to Euston / St Pancras and a great price were the attractions. Single room was small but adequate and en-suite was good with a high standard of fit out. Breakfast was good & freshly prepared and the lounge a relaxing place after seeing the sights Would stay here again

It is with great sadness I must give the Harlingford Hotel a poor review. For over 20 years, my family and friends have stayed at the Harlingford at least once a year during annual visits to the UK. Unfortunately, it has really changed for the worst. First, the management team does not value customer service. Payment is demanded on arrival.... More

Oh dear, on face value what poor review! For once I wish that this type of reviewer had the courage to tell the truth. First she says her family had been coming here for 20 years, which is not true as we have no record of her ever staying before, if she had, she would have been aware that 5... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
