The Good: Great neighborhood with lots of good pubs, restaurants, cafes. Close to three tube stations. A convenience store around the corner. Even a few bookstores! Good choices for breakfast. Lounge was comfortable. Room was very clean. "Superior Quad" room was more spacious than I thought it would be. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very quiet. The Not So Good:... More

The first time I stayed here (on business), I was given a single room on the third floor... never again! The room was tiny and cramped, you could almost touch all four walls by standing in the middle of the room and the bathroom, well shower room, required all sorts of interesting moves to get in and be comfortable. I... More

Rooms small and cramped, quite shabby, so despite low cost for area, probably still over-priced. General feel of place quite Fawlty Towers. Breakfast surprisingly good. Lounge area (with wifi) very nice to work in.

I have stayed at the Harlingford several times now, and am always delighted by the experience. The location is excellent, close to King's Cross where I usually arrive in London and also to Russell Square tube station. With the Brunswick Centre practically next door providing a range of food and shopping options, the hotel is well situated. The British Library... More

We had seven nights at the Harlingford Hotel during our recent trip to the UK. This hotel is in a great location in central London, a short walk from Russell Square Tube, Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations as well as being close to some really good restaurants, including the pub around the corner. We had one of their family... More

This hotel is ideally located close to the tube and in an area full of history. The place is extremely spruce and the staff polite. The breakfast is deliciuous and filling. There are a number of eatries around the hotel. The downside of the hotel is the room size. I stayed in a single room and the room was just... More

This is a great place situated in a peaceful garden in central London, but it's not just the location. We absolutely enjoyed our time in Harlingford! I really do not understand some of the reviews here. All staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless and breakfast simply amazing. There was also a nice cosy room on the ground... More

I've stayed at the Harlingford on roughly half of my trips to London since 2005. The price has gone up a lot in the past 9 years, but I've always liked the location, and so told my wife we should stay here on her first trip to London in over 20 years even though we'd found a better deal on... If they give out an award for exageration and lies then this reviewer would be a real contestant! During the short 2 minute conversation the only aggression shown was by this guest towards the girl receptionist - who is quiet and well mannered and polite to all guests - who did not tell him or his wife that they would... I stayed for one night whilst on business Ideally located for underground stations at Kings Cross and Euston. Its off the main road so its a quiet location. My single room was as seen on the hotels own website, small and accessed by some steep stairs. The room had some very good qualities and one bad one. Bad one first..... More

I stayed for one night for a conference in London. The location was great, right near the Institute of Education which is fantastic. Good access to mainline stations at Kings Cross and Euston and to tubes at Russell Square. The hotel was clearn with a good breakfast selection, and they were able to help with my request for a ground... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
