Booked for a late romantic breakaway with my partner. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and ready on our arrival and had late check out. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend city break and would stay again on our next visit to London. Didn't have any breakfast as woke up late, oops!

I went to Tophams today with a friend for afternoon tea. We were very disappointed with the standard of the cakes and sandwiches. The cakes were tiny, a slice of chocolate swiss roll that you could practically see through and an apple pie that was clearly a Mr Kipling without its foil case! The scones were ok, albeit small and... More

My family recently stayed at the Tophams Hotel over the weekend of the 13th September 2014. The staff were very welcoming and accomodating and we were a party of nine people, when they discovered that one of our party had been placed in a different accommodation block to the majority of the party they quickly resolved the situation and moved... I was really disappointed with the afternoon tea we booked here last week. A group of 7 of us pre-booked using a deals website for a quiet Sunday to celebrate a family occasion. When we got there the only bathroom available for non guests was in use and continued to be so for 20 minutes by the same individual and... More

We arrived here on Saturday afternoon having booked a room online and making payment. upon arrival we were ushered into the bar while the reception staff were dealing with a very distressed family who had just arrived from Europe. A member of the reception team came to us and said they didn't have a room for us and rooms had... More

This was our 2nd visit and was highly disappointing. Booked through last minute as we had previously stayed here before in 2011 and enjoyed our stay. However this was not to be the case this year we even left the hotel in the middle of the night! The first room we was allocated is only of something I can describe... More

Came here for 2 nigths for business. Great location, nice décor but with so many weird issues that I would not stay here again if I could help it. The location first of all cant be beat as it is right next to Victoria station. Check in was painless and the staff seemed friendly. The room was clean but the... More

Reception on a Sunday afternoon was a bit chilly. I knew this hotel in another time. Room was as expected. Amenities were as expected. Old buildings, even with this much character, do have quirks. Breakfast was a bit better than expected but the desk had brightened up. Soon after friends picked me up for lunch and I checked out. Enough... More

This hotel left a lot to be desired... It certainly isn't deserving of 4* status. The check-in process was a little peculiar, with staff sitting awkwardly behind a large study desk in what looked more like someone's front room than a hotel reception. A £100 block was put on my card during check-in, despite having been previously advised that no... More
