With two subway stops close by and cabs going past night and day, the location is perfect. I received a free upgrade and had a deluxe room in the building across the road. This did require putting on a coat to go to breakfast (as it was just above freezing during daytime) but it did not bother me in the... More

Stayed here on business and found the Hotel very good for the price in London. It was just as well the Receptionist showed me to the room as I don't know how long it would have taken to find it. The Hotel is a big maze, but the room for London is a good size room. The bathroom and shower... More

I've had the pleasure at staying at the Montcalm at the Brewery twice within the last month. The hotel is a converted brewery so it has some very cool architectural details and is quite hip. The staff is amazing and will do anything to make your stay memorable.KUDOS to Megha Singh, the front office manager---she's absolutely outstanding. She went far... More

We stayed at the hotel as we held an event at the Brewery. The staff were very helpful and it was the perfect location for us. Breakfast was delicious.

What is there not to rave about: Excellent service, professional staff, quiet elegance of the rooms; the Bulgari toileteries, clean and fresh rooms, unobtrusive service from all and the warmth of the front office manager Ms Megha Singh. I could go on. But suffice it to say that as for Miss Megha Singh, the front office manager, heaven must be missing... More

The hotel is very nice, the look and the atmosphere are great, it's a pity that the staff is not at the same level. To be honest the staff is less than poor, I've never seen such low service (not only from one but many of them) in an hotel (even with less stars). Everything has started from the check... More

Everyone I had contact with from booking by phone to checkiing in were so polite. We had a beautiful room with everything we needed and more. Large room and quiet. Less than 10 min walk from Liverpool St station. Bed very comfy but pillows a little firm. Only drawback was from overhead plumbing in the night. Would thoroughly recommend and... More

The Montcalm London City has rise to the occasion. Great location (nearest tube station is Barbican & Farringdon both are on the Hammersmith and city line or Metropolitan line). Great pub The Jugged Hare, pop in for breakfast or a quick pint. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are extremely comfortable and if your not happy with the... More

Where shall I begin? My first clue should have been the reservation which I made directly with the hotel (or was it a call center in Delhi?) It was not unlike negotiating to buy a carpet in a souk. Signing in at the reception was equally strange: the receptionist wanted to photocopy my passport, which I obviously refused. It was... More

Have stayed at the hotel several times since 2010 The room are nice and clean and rather large for London. Finding the room can be a challenge as the hotel is a bit of a maze as it seems to be several old buildings done up as one hotel. The breakfest is on the expensive side, especially if you go... More
