I stayed in the hostel for two nights in a room with 12 beds. The bedroom was simple and small, but clean. The service was good, the food was not too good, but ok. The toilets are quite clean, in front of the showers the floor was all wet, but I could also live with that. Although it is above... More

I stayed over on Monday while househunting in London. I arrived in the evening exhausted and the staff were really friendly and helpful getting me in and showing me the hostel. I had a pizza and a beer in the bar, the pizza was fine and the beer great. Hostel customers get a discount on drinks and free pool. Lots... More

Nearly everything was equal or above my expectations. Very kind staff, perfect localization and reasonable price. Only showers may be a little bit cleaner, but itwas good enought - i've seen a lot worse :) summarizing - 5stats.

The Hostel is located right above a small pub ("The Steam Engine"), a 5 minute walk from Lambeth North underground station, 10 mins from Waterloo station. As far as I can tell, it consists of 4 dorms and two bathrooms plus showers in the dorms. Breakfast is served downstairs in the pub. We payed 12 GPB per person and night... More

Location is near Lambeth North underground station, which makes the access to central London much easier than finding a hotel at the heart of the city. I must of been a bit confused with the streets in the area since there is about a 7 way intersection as soon as you exit the subway. The rooms are 3 tier bunk... More

We were staying in the soulless Day's Inn just next door, but I spotted the Steam Engine as we arrived so we looked in for lunch, and I'm pleased we did. We ate a most delicious four cheese pizza served with shakers of oregano and chilli flakes and drank a couple of pints of excellent Summer Lightning. There was a... More

Stay in a 12 room bunk room, sheets were clean but the was no place to put your backpack. The had lockers, but maybe 10 x 10 x 10 in size. In the morning the rooms were crowded with everyone and their bags. Besides that it was decent, free breakfast and wifi. The was a room downstairs were you could... More

The staff were incredibly rude. Shower was absolutely disgusting, no room for luggage as lockers were very small. The only thing that was ok about the hostel was the sleep was ok and clean bed sheets.
