Cheap, but not high quality accommodation on the SW part of London. At the building No.19 you'll find small rooms with 4 bunk beds, nothing else. One shower, one sink and two toilets for 4-5 such kind of rooms (approx. 40 people). But if you want just sleep on there, you can find a bed (mixed beds, means male/female at... More

I was happy to see that the motel was a few minutes walk from the train station, giving it a great location, but unfortunately that's where my praise ends. The room size and layout was as expected for a hostel, however it only had 4 plug sockets, despite housing 6 people. The mirror was broken and the sink wasn't draining... More

The location of the hostel (Placed in earls court) makes this establishment worth staying especially if you planning to stay in London for 1 0r 2 days and comfort is not your priority. I personally didn't find this place as filthy as other reviewers, they had a daily cleaning in dorms and the common areas of the hostel. staff could... More

This hostel is so dirty, extremely rude uncivilised staff working there. everything is so slow and awful. No element of customer service. They seem to think that they are doing customers a favour whereas we are paying. Very stupid management including the owner. They are uncoordinated and are just interested in money. no hot water and even many floors without... More

Well, not the worse hostel I ever stayed, but one of them. Professional photos does not show this hostel at all, they seems nice and you think "Hmm, seems like nice place" - false. Rooms are narrow and very small, I stayed with my family in a room for 4. It was not cheap, £100 for absolutely crap room, without... More

This was the worst hostel experience I ever had. Firstly, the receptionists are rude and not helpful. The reception doesn't work 24/7. I had to wait for 20 minutes in the middle of the night for the receptionist to open the door. They take deposit for everything and charge you for everything. I left my laptop at the reception and... Filthy room and no working showers due to renovation in the building I was in, mouldy showers that didn't drain properly in other building, no toilet paper, no hand towel paper, no privacy in the shared unisex bathrooms, signs up everywhere saying to put toilet paper in the bin and not in the toilets (!) no wifi, no lockable areas... The location is very strategic, within short walking distance to Earls Court underground station and surrounded by Londeners flats. There were also plenty of halal eateries at the area, hence not much of a problem for Muslim travellers. The only downside of it was the unavailability of warm/cold water. During our stay, the water in the shower room was so... More

We were eight 40+ adults and we booked at this hostel due to it's location. They have obviosly looked at the reviews and have made great changes, The rooms were cleanand the beds comfy. They were still redecorating whilst we were there, but this didn't interfere with our stay. The only negative was that they placed us on the fourth... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
