Room with the royal mews. Reserved the room with beige decor I saw online. It was directly facing the entrance of the royal mews. I was able to catch view of the horse and carriages coming and going. The restaurant was very good. The BBar was very good as was the the Carvery inside hotel. The room was large but... More

We wanted to stay at a really nice hotel so picked this hotel as found it recommended on various websites as a unique hotel due to the themed hotels. It is clearly still a popular hotel possibly with an older clientele. It operates similarly to how it did 10/20 years a go I suspect. I know this is supposed to... More

The perfect place to stay after our wedding party at Cafe Bella Maria. Delightful and committed service for guests to be comfortable. 'Just Married' message and chocolates waiting in the room which was simply perfect for a couple. Anecdote: we challenged their room service ignoring the form and delivering a letter to be collected! They were amazing and very kind.... More

Stayed there 2 nights as part of a business trip. Location is OK if you are a tourist that want to be at 7am in front of Buckingham Palace in order to see the Queen waking up! Oh, and do not expect to cross any people under 50. On the good side, breakfast is OK (though there was a clear... More

I didn't actually stay in 2014, but I can't believe I didn't write a review of this hotel when I stayed! It was shortly before the 2012 Olympics, and just after Will and Kate's marriage, so the city was busy with preparations and celebrations. However, no detail was too small for the staff at the Rubens. I had let them... More

This was a really lovely afternoon tea experience. We arrived slightly early but were greeted very warmly and taken straight through to our table which faced the Royal Mews so we had a wonderful view of the comings and goings all afternoon, including a beautiful horse drawn carriage leaving the Mews. I had not mentioned on booking that it was... More

I've just returned from a stay at the Rubens Hotel which was fantastic. I stayed in a superior twin room with my friend which was lovely - well equipped, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the feather pillows were much appreciated. What makes this hotel even more special however are the wonderful friendly and helpful... More

The Rubens hotel was a great stay For my wife and I. Great location, very helpful staff, clean room and in a safe area. We will stay here again. The rooms are a bit small, but that is to be expected in Europe. We felt that the hotel offered great value to us in every aspect.

Absolutely delightful. We visit every year for my daughters birthday for afternoon tea. It is a gem of a hotel in the heart of London, non-pretentious and the staff are superb. We always recommend to our friends and look forward to our next visit.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
