Stayed here overnight on business. One of the few London hotels that I would also stay in if on holiday. The room was small but nicely decorated with a lovely, very clean bathroom, breakfast was far superior to many 5* hotels I have stayed in, in London but the hotel's greatest asset is its staff. Unfailingly pleasant and polite they... More

We booked late through one of the internet 'flash sales' - staying for 2 days on bed & breakfast, with afternoon tea on one day also included. Hotel is in a good location - 5 minutes from Victoria stations (bus, tube & rail) and close to several bus routes as well. Hotel is fairly small, with friendly & helpful staff.... More

We stayed for two nights and cannot find anything negative to say about the Rubens. Reception was super efficient and we weren't even expecting to check in as we were so early, but they showed us to a room. Lovely room.......huge fluffy towels...... Breakfast was great too. We had afternoon tea as part of our package which was lovely and... More

Finding it difficult to say something original, when it has all been said by previous guests, but from the moment we were warmly greeted to the day of departure, the hotel has spoilt us for future mini breaks! The ambiance, delicious food and attentive staff will be a challenge to surpass. We would also like to say thank you for... More

We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely, friendly hotel as a 3 generation family for half-term. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was lovely and all the staff were so helpful and friendly - this is a traditional London hotel conveniently positioned in the centre of the city. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting... More

A couple of blocks from Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace, the hotel provides an excellent start location for any tourist interested in the Westminster/Piccadilly area. The rooms are small and nothing much, but they do provide most of the expected comfort. Had some issues with the shower glass door, which was a bit too small. Do note there are works... More

Wow, what a fantastic hotel. We stayed in The Nottingham Suite with Champagne provided and it was gorgeous, the bed was massive, the decor although a little tired was still very opulent. Mood lighting in the bathroom which was bigger than average. Chocolates had been placed on our bed when we returned. A turndown service was available, breakfast was very... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
