we spent one night here and had booked a superior room. On arrival we were upgraded and whilst enjoying a cafetière coffee in our very pleasant room had a phone call to ask how we liked our room. I did comment that the bathroom was a little small and we were immediately offered the choice of 2 junior suites, one... More

The Rubens was my favorite hotel on my 9 day trip across the UK and Ireland. We stayed for two days and they treated all three of us like queens. The rooms were beautiful, the beds were comfy, and the water pressure in the shower was out of this world!!!! It is in a great location, with friendly and knowledgable... More

A lovely birthday present from my husband Staying in yet another hotel in the Red Carnation Hotel made me even more impressed by this hotel chain. The lady, owner and designer behind these hotels Bea Tollman is a remarkable woman. There is a thought behind every detail. Everything is so beautiful ! This Time we stayed at Rubens at The... More

Picked this hotel because of its location - right by Buckingham Palace, walking distance to Knightsbridge, Westminster and Piccadilly. We wanted to be close to the Victoria Palace Theatre where we were seeing Billy Elliot. The hotel is very nice. Greeted by doormen, friendly reception staff and concierge. All bedrooms are different. We booked a Mews View one. Not large... More

Very nice hotel, with great service. The concierge was very helpful in arranging a couple of site seeing visits, as well as recommending dinning locations. We originally had a king room, but found it very cramped to wal around with our suit cases. We upgraded to a larger king room that was very spacious. Can't get over the walls in... More

We stayed, with our two young girls, for a recent weekend away. The rooms were lovely and well fitted and the adjoining rooms perfect for a family group. The breakfast was plentiful and offering a quality selection. The staff however are what differentiates this hotel from others. In all areas the staff were attentive to details, friendly and accomodating of... More

I stayed here with my wife and two teenage daughters in late December last year. The hotel reservation staff were very helpful in answering all of our questions before we arrived. At the hotel the staff were also very friendly and provided very good service. Breakfast was included in our room rate and had a wide range of food from... More

Nice hotel, close the Buckingham Palace. The staff are very accommodating, professional and helpful. Breakfast was very good and served in a nice location. Had a upgraded room, which had some distinctive charm, but was quiet small for the cost.

Stayed for 2 nights in early January so we could see The Lion King - my brilliant birthday treat. Part of privately owned group of hotels ( here and abroad) called The Red Carnation Hotel Collection. All staff very caring from beginning of stay to the end. Room and bathroom well fitted and very clean. Breakfast excellent with large choice.... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise a place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
