My husband and I stayed here from May 2 - 6, 2015 and only have positive things to say about this hotel. Many of the reviews noted that the standard room is very small, but, as an American, we did not find it to be very small for a European hotel. It was just right for us (still plenty of... More

I booked a night’s stay at The Rubens as part of a birthday gift to my girlfriend. I was looking for a hotel close to both Victoria train station and the Victoria Apollo theatre and looking online I came across The Rubens. Looking at other hotels in the area, The Rubens is very well placed for the train station and... More

If you are in London and looking to treat yourself to Afternoon Tea look no further than Rubens Hotel. The staff are very welcoming and friendly the lounge is very comfortable and relaxing and the sandwiches, scones and cakes are wonderful and plentiful. You certainly will not come away looking forward to dinner because you will be too full. There... More

I visited Rubens yesterday with three of my sisters for afternoon tea We were celebrating the birthday of one of the sisters . The service from staff at Rubens from the time we arrived was outstanding. We were greeted at the door and showed to our table where we were introduced to staff who would be looking after us. Afternoon... More

Hotel was a great location and the service and the staff were excellent. Very easy to get to the theatres and facing Buckingham Palace and was a short walk away from The Mall. Didn't actually have a meal in the restaurant but dined in the Carvery Restaurant enjoying an early meal before going to the shows.

Really good hotel with good service. The front desk and concierge can't do enough for you. The standard rooms are very small but the exec rooms are of a better size. This is a great location for the Palace and The Mall. Drinks were more expensive than they needed to be though.

My wife and I stayed at The Rubens for three nights in early May. We found the hotel and staff very welcoming. The location could not be better, and this allowed us to maximize our time and see more of the city. King size bed limited space in room. Our room faced the construction but that didn't start until 8... More

You won't be paying top dollar like at 46 next door but you will get exceptional service. The Cavalry Bar is wonderful to enjoy a drink before dinner or a show. The Library Restaurant makes wonderful roasted rack of lamb that melts in your mouth. No knife required! We had no issues and our service was wonderful. Small quarters but... More

I would rate this hotel 5 stars although it's not a fancy property because of all the wonderful, personal touches. We were greeted by the manager when we arrived, and sent to our room. Half hour later we received a frantic call saying they were coming up to get the chair as 2 legs were totally broken. A young man... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
