We might stay here even if we didn't get the 4th night free. The rooms were well appointed, the apples at the front desk fresh, the concierge helpful, but the best was that it it right across the street from Buckingham Palace. One block toward the Palace and to the right provides a theatre, Phoenix for nice dinner upstairs and... More

This hotel is a boutique type. This means at one time it was either someone's home or as in this case dorm like rooms for college students, thus it is smaller than chain hotels and unique in many regards. We loved it. First it is the closest and most convenient to Buckingham Palace, across from the carriage houses. It is... More

My 3rd visit this year and yet again just wonderful. This was for my birthday with family members , we arrived Saturday morning to a warm welcome from Paula and the girls at the front desk followed by Dave taking the bags for us . We know the rooms to be small but to have everything we could need for... More

We arrived Friday lunchtime to a warm welcome from the doorman and reception staff. Room was ready and just beautiful sumptuous fabrics and large comfy bed. It is a beautiful old building (my father worked here in the 30s) and full of bygone charm and character. The rooms are small as en suite has been added at a later date,... More

Arrived on Friday the 5th Dec to a very friendly reception, this is the second time that we have stayed this year and thoroughly enjoyed it, the room was small but adequate with views over the royal mews, the staff were friendly and attentive and we would not think of staying anywhere else at the moment, the hotel is conveniently... Am a frequent traveller to London and decided to stay at this hotel this time. Like most reviews indicate, very kind staff. It does however, not compensate for the smallest "executive" rooms in the city. The bed is really not suitable for 2, the room hardly holds your luggage. The X-mas party was loud and the staffed played "surprised" we... More

Dear Guest, I was very sorry to read that you were disappointed with the size of your bedroom. I know that you booked one of our Classic Double Rooms. From our Kings, Executive King Rooms and Suites, we have a number of larger options to choose from when booking, but nonetheless, I was sorry that our Double Room disappointed you.... More

Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend (friday to Sunday) when we arrived the staff were so nice and helpful. We also had a free upgrade to a bigger room. The bed was so comfy and everywhere was so clean. On the evening we had complimentary festive treats both night ( cookies and mince pies) also we had... More

Visited the hotel on Friday 5th Dec. This was a 50th birthday present for my husband and was even better than we expected! Have been to several places in London for afternoon tea and this one really was one of the very best. From the moment we arrived we were looked after by Enci Masey, who went over and above... More

With such a wide selection of luxury hotels available in London, I can really appreciate the personalized customer service and attention to detail the Rubens provides. Even prior to my arrival, I was already wowed by them. I had missed my flight to London, and the staff was accommodating enough to amend the dates of my stay although I had... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise a place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
