Arrived very early on flight from Asia, room wasn't ready so they provided complimentary room FOC. Our suite isn't cheap but comfortably accommodates 5 of us (2 kids and an infant) - so it works out great value for the location. Loads of kid friendly stuff in the room from activity packs, toiletries to mini bath robes and slippers that... More

We spent one night in the beautiful hotel for my daughters 18th birthday. The staff were welcoming and very professional from the moment we were greeted by the doorman. Our room was spotless and very pretty with plenty of space. The dinner and service was excellent, and atmosphere very relaxed. The chocolate birthday message on a dessert was a lovely touch.The... Staff was exceptional and very helpful. The Doormen and day manager both made our stay exceptional. This was our second stay. Were from the USA and their staff always made us welcome and invited us back.

Just had a lovely weekend in the city staying at The Rubens next to the Palace. We were not really happy with our first room that was offered to us but we were immediately shown 2 other rooms one of which we picked as it was excellent - modern and light and very comfortable. Staff were lovely throughout and would... More

called in here for morning coffee before a trip round the palace. wasn't sure how welcome we would be but we were made extremely welcome. Beautiful interior, very friendly and pleasant staff. We were not rushed in any way and I wish we'd known how good it was because would definitely have had a brunch there, but were committed elsewhere... More

Just enjoyed a 4 day stay with family, including 2 young children. We have stayed at the Rubens before (without the kids) and have always found the staff to be friendly and efficient, but the children really brought the best out of them. Nothing was too much trouble! Our rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the beds are the... More

My fiancé and I stayed here for the weekend with other family members for a London wedding. Very friendly and efficient service at reception and in the bar. Everything was very clean and the aircon in the room was great. The room was quite small but had all we needed and the bed was comfy. We could see that the... More

We stayed at the Rubens for my wife who had numerous stays there in her childhood days, the room was rather dull in decor with dark walls and I would say a manish style, however the bed must be one of the best that I have had so far in London, slept like a log. I did feel that the... More

Lovely place, but not particularly happy with our room or location of it, but did enjoy the friendly staff and lovely English buffet breakfast and free dinner and lovely High Tea as an Costco.com Executive member. Great location, back of the Palace, down the street and walking distance to ALL the sights. Also right down the street from the Tube... More

Just had two nights in the royal suite at the Rubens. We stayed in the Victoria room in the royal apartments and it was really good. We tend to use hotels as base rather than eat breakfast dinner and tea, however the breakfast buffet is more than enough to keep you going for most of the day. The staff are... More
