We love this hotel. We have stayed here before. How pleased we were to see a Secret Escapes offer for Rubens at the Palace. We were 'royally' pampered. The hotel is lovely. Our room was superb.( Hint: change the bedside tables for some with drawers) The staff are fantastic and can't do enough to help and make you feel welcome.... More

My partner took me here for my birthday for a two night stay. We were treated fabulously! They knew it was my birthday and provided us with complimentary champagne, after we got to our room they phoned 15minutes later to make sure everything was to standard with our room. The location of this hotel is fantastic. We like to walk... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. We paid a ridiculous amount of money for this room in hopes that it would be fabulous. I've stayed at Holiday Inns that were more inviting. Our bed was extremely uncomfortable. They required £25 a day to watch the TV. Our room did not have heat until our last night. More importantly, the staff.... More

Stayed at this hotel for business in December 2014. The staff are very friendly and the location is perfect opposite Buckingham Palace. Highlight was beiing able to see the changing of the guard from the hotel lounge. Rooms are nicely appointed and well serviced. The only thing I found odd was being told to leave the lounge as the staff... More

I have just spent a weekend at The Rubens at the Palace after staying previously and having a good time. It was another wonderful weekend, due in part by the extremely attentive service by the staff. All staff go that extra mile, which is wonderful and made my friend and I feel very special. We had afternoon tea on the... More

Just got back from a fabulous weekend break at The Rubens, lovely hotel, great location, i could say so many great things about this hotel, from the fabulous afternoon tea, superb breakfast, but the best thing has to be the staff, by far THE most helpful and attentive i have come across, they treated our seven year old son as... Stayed here overnight on business. One of the few London hotels that I would also stay in if on holiday. The room was small but nicely decorated with a lovely, very clean bathroom, breakfast was far superior to many 5* hotels I have stayed in, in London but the hotel's greatest asset is its staff. Unfailingly pleasant and polite they... More

We booked late through one of the internet 'flash sales' - staying for 2 days on bed & breakfast, with afternoon tea on one day also included. Hotel is in a good location - 5 minutes from Victoria stations (bus, tube & rail) and close to several bus routes as well. Hotel is fairly small, with friendly & helpful staff.... More

Thank you for your review. I was really pleased to read that you enjoyed our friendly and warm staff, and found our Housekeeping standard to be high. I was a little disappointed to read of the inconsistencies at breakfast, and despite knowing that Sunday mornings can be extremely busy, I would not expect you to be asking for the additionals... Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
