I have just returned from my 4th stay at this lovely hotel. All of the staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. You are always greeted with a warm welcome by the door men and reception and their customer service is excellent! The hotel is very English which I absolutely love, with the military themed Cavalry Bar,... More

My daughter, grand and myself stayed here for four nights in June. The staff was outstanding, especially Nathan and Rachel. The morning breakfast was great, staff very friendly. We loved our room, bath smaller than we expected but nice. We are used to air conditioning so a little warm. It was very near Buckingham Palace (could see from our room)... More

This is a boutique hotel with not much room on the curb for loading and unloading. The lobby, tea room, and hotel room were charming but a bit small. There is a restaurant in the hotel but we didn't eat there. The front desk and concierge staff were very helpful and the location was excellent. The Victoria Station Underground station... More

My mom and I are visiting England to celebrate our 50th and 70th birthdays. When traveling I am usually more budget conscious, but wanted something more for my mom. I am so glad I chose The Rubens. It is described as a luxury hotel, but I would say it is comfortable elegance. My mom doesn't travel much, and I was... More

This was our second visit to The Rubens and, once again, we were more than satisfied. The location is convienent to the Tube and within easy walking distance of Buckingham Palace. A full breakfast was included, with our room, and was not only delicious, but had a good variety of items, to choose from. The rooms are small (compared to... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
