I completely agree with the previous review. Can't believe the receptionist asked us if we wanted to upgrade for £15. They should be giving EVERYONE the best rooms they've got due to the refurbishment going on. We were initially given a horrible old unrefurbished room & upon complaining they gave us a newly decorated 'king deluxe' - there is nothing... More

Having to make your way to and from your room between corridors with no carpets, signs all over warning of 'Wet Paint' - and finally - a notice on a door leading to your hotel room with a notice ' Strictly no admittance refurbishment works'. What would you expect to pay for this? Not a lot? You would be wrong.... More

Stayed here for the first time last night as needed somewhere to stay after a dinner in Canary Wharf. Hotel seems to be in the middle of a major renovation but I had no warning of this when booking. Corridors were part-carpeted. Paper hand written signs warning of wet paint. Walled off sections of the lobby. Unpainted areas. Room was... More

Visited the hotel for five days in early April 2015. Hotel was fairly quiet due to refurbishment. Room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the river and Canary Wharf. We had our pet dog with us - there were plenty of open spaces nearby for walks. Ferry over the river was a treat. All staff were friendly... More

I hadn`t used this place for years but was in London with the family so I thought I`d try it.There were a couple of negative points;when we arrived we had to change rooms a couple of times, this was due to some confusion from the staff because of the ongoing building work, not very professional but I guess understand to a point.... I’m currently staying at this hotel and the experience so far has been dreadful. After a long queue at check in I made my way to my room. I walked down a corridor that was nothing less than a building site – horrible. The room was then of the wrong type to that on my HH profile. I tried to... More

I really wanted to give this place a chance and I cannot fault the speedy response from the hotel manager when I didn't like the room but here's the low down Pros: Ferry to canary wharf complimentary Pretty water views Cheaper than canary wharf based hotels Lovely staff Cons: Windowless dungeon like rooms with just a frosted glass door, no... Some noise and dirt on some floors due to renovation, breakfast room was re-located to another room but was a good alternative. Generally everything was good, room was clean and tidy with a balcony overlooking the Thames, bathroom rather small but modern and fully functional. Bus stop to Canada Water right outside the hotel, free freey service for guest to... More

I arrived at this hotel late in the evening and had to wait 30 minutes for a ferry (it wasn't clear where to wait). Checkin was quick. I then had to walk through a glass tunnel, go up a lift and walk along an outside corridor to get to my room. Think ex council. The room was large with two... More

A night of luxury overlooking the iconic Thames River and Docklands skyline whist sipping a glass of complimentary prosecco, provided by our incredibly helpful and amiable receptionist Elizabeth. Our room also featured a lovely deep bath in which to soak after a long day pounding the London streets sightseeing. The king size bed was beautifully presented and very comfortable indeed.... More
