Spent just one night in the family triple room on 17 December with my wife and 3 year old daughter, booked it through Secret Escapes. The biggest issue was the temperature of the room! It was in the very high twenties, it was rediculously hot, and that was without the radiator on! The air con did not work either. When... More

I hoped for so much more, and left disappointed. Not cheap, and although it is a central location the service was something of a let down. Over-eager staff at the reception, together with snazzy but unfriendly room features which included snazzy lighting which I didn't get to work properly, small room size (mine was a double, for my own occupancy... The Regency Hotel is conventiently located in Central London (South Kensington), a short walk from the tube station in a quite neighborhood, but next to the vibrating pub scene in the Royal Borough of Kensington. It is well equipped, offers extremely comfortable beds and very friendly and helpful staff. And is is reasonably priced as well.

I stayed here for 2 nights in room no. 40 on 9th and 10th dec. Heating system was not working. Complained for the same 4 times but no relief. Again staying in room no. 149 today....heating system again not working... complained to front desk and the answer is it is on from our side.... very bad handling.... you can imagine... More

Location is perfect! Quiet and chilled! Not too far from Hyde park which we wanted! Swanky coffee bars, great shopping! The rooms are small but cosy and decorated tastefully! Room service quick! Bed is a memory foam so your body sinks into comfort Ar slept perfect!! Only downfall is some toiletries which we usually have in the rooms in most... More

Nice location, businesslike, clean rooms. Annoying is that you have to pay xtra for wifi. Room on 5th floor was quiet, small but everything you need was there. Reasonable price. Nice restaurants around the corner! Tube station abt 5 minutes walk.

So we got a really good deal on a vacation package to stay here. The hotel location is great. Short walk to the tube and located in a trendy neighborhood with some great reaturants. The rooms are not like the pictures. They are very small. We had a twin bed room and it was difficult to walk around. The front... More

Regency hotel dazzles you from the start. The lobby had a roaring fireplace and comfy chairs to sit in, and the outside made it look fit for the queen. There was a fancy restaurant and a nice lounge. So why only three stars you ask? Well, the room we asked for was a twin and a full. As a child... More

A very nice location hotel close to museums area including Natural History Museum. In the vicinity of public transport lines. Close to the hotel you can find nice restaurants and cafes for breakfast and dining as well as pubs. I faced an unfortunate hot water shortage and 2 days of my 3 days visit spoilt. The room given for replacement... More

I stayed in the Hotel for a business course. Upon arrival the hotel had problems with the room key system. This happens. The Hotel apologized for the it but when asking for breakfast and wifi I had to pay extra. It would have been service to offer something for having to ask every time you wanted to go to your... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
