Went to London to see a show and stayed the night in The Regency. Went for a Queensgate double room as this entitled you to partake in complimentary drinks and nibbles in Executive room. Room clean with all facilities but a bit on the small size. Breakfast, which was included, was great. Overall a good stay.

This is a stylish but well-priced hotel in a very good location. A short walk from South Ken tube with enough shops and bars in the immediate vicinity to keep you interested if you don't want to venture too far. Rooms were spotless and comfortable and the breakfast service was great too: a sort of half-buffet, half-waiter combo which meant... More

The Regency is located in the Borough of Kensington, a couple of blocks away from the South Ken tube station, which is pretty convenient. South Ken is a chic area with its fair share of Michelin rated restaurants and beautiful parks. The Regency is walking distance from the museum of Natural History, the Victoria and Albert museum, and not far... More

Tried this hotel because we used it in the early nineties. Very pleased we did as it is a nice friendly hotel with helpful staff and has been recently been modernized. We had a first floor Queensgate double room 104 at the front of the hotel, it was comfortable, quiet and a reasonable size. Breakfast was excellent. Location suited us,... More

Pleasant hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. The room I stayed in was fairly small but comfortable. The restaurant and bar are a little dated but this was made up for by friendly staff.

we booked this for a last minute trip to London. The room was lovely, the staff friendly and helpful and very accommodating of our young family. The light breakfast being included was an added bonus. Good location for museums especially but also to explore central London via tube. Would definitely book again.

Good travel zoo offer for Knightsbridge area. Welcoming reception staff and room available at 11am! Minimalistic rooms, could do with a little brightening up, clean and fresh with very small bathroom, but adequate. Traffic noise loud so remember ear plugs! Lovely freshly cooked breakfast with very polite staff. Free wine in deal a bit rough. Great area for bars and... More

This is not the first time I have stayed here and things just don't seem to change. I booked this reluctantly for my partner as this is near to his business. I booked and Executive room and had to go to reception to see if they had made a mistake as it was so poor!! In the end was told... More

Stayed for 2 nights with a Travelzoo offer with breakfast and a bottle of wine included. Checked in fine and had the wine brought to our room. The staff member accidentally broke a glass in the entrance to our room, which was fine as accidents do happen. It then took nearly 30 mins for them to bring another glass and... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
