This is not the first time I have stayed here and things just don't seem to change. I booked this reluctantly for my partner as this is near to his business. I booked and Executive room and had to go to reception to see if they had made a mistake as it was so poor!! In the end was told... More

Stayed for 2 nights with a Travelzoo offer with breakfast and a bottle of wine included. Checked in fine and had the wine brought to our room. The staff member accidentally broke a glass in the entrance to our room, which was fine as accidents do happen. It then took nearly 30 mins for them to bring another glass and... More

We stayed for one night using the travelzoo offer. We thought it was good value for a central London hotel. The room was modern, clean but quiet small. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was fine with plenty of choice. We had kippers and scrambled egg with smoked salmon. No complaints at all.

Very close to HydePak, Albert Hall and the museums of Natural History and theVictoria & Albert. 5 min walk to South Kensington underground. Rooms very well fitted out....if a little small. Breakfast excellent. Wide choice all freshly cooked.

Stayed here for the first time in March. Nice looking well kept building, lobby and public rooms were excellent. Contrary to other reviews I thought the staff were efficient polite and helpful. The room was modern, clean, spacious and it had everything that you needed in a city center hotel. South Ken tube station is only 5 minutes walk.

I was ready after reading the reviews here but the managed to live up to their service....front desk absolutely useless, uninterested and no idea what customer service is. Reservation not correct, room very small, no toiletries in bathroom, charge for Internet.... Yes really even this day and age! Concierge non existent. Not impressed and just checked in today 4 more... More

Got offered a deal to stay here through my company at £164, but decided to paddle my own canoe and booked through Booking.Com for £101! They pointed out by doing that I would have to pay an extra £17 per person for breakfast! You do the maths! I asked for a quiet room, so I was placed on the top... More

A good hotel in Kensington close to the museums. Entrance is light and airy, the hotel has a classy feel to it. Bedroom was not huge but fairly well proportioned for a central London Hotel, generally it was comfortable, the bed had a memory foam mattress which was a big plus. We travelled on a Travelzoo local deal - £135... More

Check in was easy but I was a little surprised that they took £50 off my credit card in case of 'breakages' which I was assured would be reimbursed if there were none? First impressions of the room were good, it was clean well equipped and had a decent view over Queens Gate. However it was very warm, hot in... More

Checked in early and left my luggage with the porter to be put into the room when ready. returned around midnight after a long working day. I entered my room and could hear the air conditioning was quite loud. after settling into the room I tried to switch off the unit but realised the control panel was not on, then... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
