we have stayed at this hotel several times ,a good base if you are shopping or having a night out in london, it is really easy to get anywhere you want to go as the tube is only along the road. each time we stayed in a different room and all were spotless and generally nice, some are a bit... I stayed here for business and on check-in I was instructed I had to pre pay £50 for services I had yet procure in advance on my card. Whilst I was not happy with this the hotel was pre paid by my company so agreed to the payment. On checkout I was advised I would be refunded 2-3 days later.... More

A five minute walk from the South Kensington Tube station, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museum of Natural History. The hotel is nicely appointed and modern. The breakfast buffet is quite good. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay here in the future.

Spent two nights. Room very cramped and stuffy as window only opened a few inches. Air conditioning underpowered also so no help there. Location good, quiet well insulated rooms. WiFi not free and tended to shut off every so often. Check out was annoying as wrong card charged due to a staff mistake resulting in additional costs. Ultimately charges were... More

It was the second time that my mother and I went to the Regency Hotel. We had a twin room which was nicely furnished. The room was clean as well as the bathroom which comprises of an Italian shower (that is to say big shower). We had everything we needed, and the people working there was very nice too. However,... We had a lovely time at the regency. The location is wonderful, just a short tube ride away from everything ☺️ from standing outside I was so excited, it looks lovely, the reception staff where very nice and checked us in early. The view was nothing to look at but if it's views you want don't stay in the city.... More

I have stayed at the Regency before and found it ok, certainly not worth recommending given the number of hotels in this price range. I was due to stay there on 5/8 but due to the Tube strike my appointments were cancelled. The hotel stuck rigidly to their cancellation policy and charged me in full even though I offered not... Hotel is in a good location with Gloucester road and south kensington tube stations both a few minutes walk. Reception staff were ok, not the most friendly or helpful in the world, just ok. Room was nice and nothing wrong with the size of the room as others have mentioned. We thought it was an average sized room for London.... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
