4 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

This was a business/pleasure trip and we spent 4 days here. Yes, the rooms are small but most London hotels in this price range are. The staff was friendly and service was very good. It took us a day or two to get used to the hotel. We were comfortable over all. I see reviews where there were AC issues... More

Hotel is a five minute walk to South Kensington tube station which is perfect for seeing London. The tube station has three major lines there minimizing the chance of changing at stations. The hotel is also a few minute walk to food and cafes. The area is more residential so it's a nice neighborhood to stay in. We've stayed here... More

Speechless…. If I focus my review on physical elements, I would say: It is a convenient, modern, clean, nice hotel. Great value However, it lacks soul. Employees hardly see you or smile…. Everything is nice but cold, not cool. On top of that we experience an unfortunately experience: someone, by mistake, came into our room, opened the door, at 6... More

Dealing with other visitors' negatives - the staff were not rude to us at any point and the tea & coffee is hidden in the base of the kettle unit. The breakfast was reasonable and the 'basement' it was served in did not feel confined - indeed, by putting the breakfast area downstairs, they had more room that is often... More

Very good location within South Kensigton close to museums Royal Albert Hall and Knightsbridge. Very nice rooms with media centre which allows you to use all your media. Very nicely decorated rooms with mood lighting. However very poor sound insulation between rooms - woken up by some idiot on his mobile phone at 1 am!!! Otherwise very comfortable room especially... The Regency is a small hotel in walking distance to the South Kensington tube station. It's clean and nice, the service is attentive. The rooms are rather small, but definitely not any smaller than the average London hotel room. The internet access is not complementary, and once booked it login credentials are sloppy. I didn't book breakfast, but it is... More

We arrived too early to check in , but the hotel was happy to look after our bags until we could check in later in the day - very helpful, and efficient. On checking in, we found the hotel to be spacious, comfortable and with the spatial logistics well worked out - how many times have I been in hotels... More

Great location with a five minute walk to the tube station and five minute walk to museums. Friendly staff, and the executive lounge deal with free breakfast and evening drinks is a bonus. We had a room for three people, slightly disappointed that the third bed was a small single sofa bed, but otherwise lovely and clean. Only problem for... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
