Nice hotel in a great Kensington Area. Minutes walk from underground. We had to pay for internet!!! £10/ day for one connection. Had to call for second device hookup! Anymore would have doubled cost. No ice on floors but room service brought up a bucket. Wanted to charge us another £10 each for breakfast. More if we had wanted hot.... More

Having read some of the mixed reviews on here I wasn't sure what to expect but fortunately I did not experience any of the negatives mentioned in previous reviews. The hotel is a three minute walk from Kensington South tube station and is really easy to find. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby, the location is great! We... More

I can't say enough about what a pleasant experience it was staying at this hotel. The location is superb for getting around London and the upgraded room was small but well-designed for comfort and stashing your things. The memory foam mattress helped sooth our travel cares. The bathroom was clean and the shower stall was big. We were on the... More

Charming hotel with very good proximity to South Kensington station. Makes it super easy to get around London and see everything. The neighbourhood was definitely a highlight of this hotel. Happy we chose to stay in Kensington, rather than other areas in London. Hotel was good but nothing amazing. Rooms were very small but clean and had everything you could... More

I like to read the "terrible" reviews before booking, knowing that some people will never be happy anyway so some must be expected. However, reading some of those reviews on the Regency makes me feel that I must have been in a different hotel from those travellers. First of all our room (128) was anything but tiny. It was spacious,... More

This looks like a very beautiful hotel, and overall it is, BUT it's getting the simple little things right that make a hotel worth going back too or recommending to your friends and family. The bedroom was compact but clean. The bed was very comfy, and beautiful white clean bedding. I personally can't drink full fat milk so asked for... More

South Kensington is a very charming area of London and the Regency Hotel is a great place to stay in this area. The Hotel is located 5 minutes away from the South Kensington Underground station on the Piccadilly line, which is the line that takes you to Heathrow airport. The hotel reception is very welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms have... More

Traveling with two grandchildren (teenagers and their first trip abroad) the front desk said they had two queen rooms for us. We very clearly had asked for one queen and one twin room for the kids (a brother and sister). They gave us a very hard time and finally found a twin room quite a distance away from our room.... After 2 weeks of working around Europe I decided to meet my wife in London and spend a romantic week at the Regency Hotel as it was a classic hotel with high standards (so I thought). On arrival I was greeted at the front desk with a young girl who said "Vat you vant"?? I checked in had to open... More

The hotel is close to the underground (a few minutes walk) and it is newly furbished (some work is ongoing for refurbishing its facade). The room was clean and in great condition. The neighborhood is quite and friendly. Many places to eat in the vicinity of the hotel. The whole experience was like being home. My brother was staying at... More
