My husband and I stayed for one night at this hotel. We had never stayed in Hilton's Doubletree brand before and I was very pleasantly surprised by the room, which had obviously been recently decorated, with its separated lounge area and bedroom (both with TV's). There was no bath, but the shower was great and the bathroom was spotless. There... More

Although situated in the area of London we required this hotel leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to room size and comfort. Have never stayed in such a small Hilton room. Refurbishment noise early in the morning and room soundproffing not good.

The service by the hotel staff was wonderful and very gracious and accommodating. We twice asked for things for the room and hospitality instantly and cheerfully came. The fireplace area lounge in the hotel lobby is lovely. I would definitely stay here again if travelling just as a couple, not three. Their family room (at least what we got) not... More

This is a nice hotel to stay in. I stayed for two nights in January and liked the room. I stayed in a queen guest room which was a little small & just fit for one person. The floor I was staying on was being refurbished and unfortunately it was a mezzanine so a little difficult to navigate with luggage.... More

The location of the hotel was excellent-in a nice, peaceful area close to the subway station and many nice restaurants. The only thing I didn't like is that room was a bit too small. Also, didn't have a nice view from the room (it was on first floor). Service was very kind and when room phone didn't work, they immediately... More

My husband and I recently stayed for 10 nights in January 2016. Pros: - Location was excellent. The Piccadilly line runs from Heathrow straight through to nearby tube stations. Nearby busses (note that there are many different bus stops) were less than 2 or 3 mins walk away and connected us to hyde park, marble arch, knightsbridge, oxford circus, camden... More

Was very surprised with this hotel. Downstairs restaurant/bar looked very dated but the rest of the hotel was modern and the food was exceptional. Can't fault the location or the price paid. Will definitely be booking again when in the area.

I have stayed at this hotel several times - also when it was called the Regency and I love the location. South Kensington is an area with great restaurants and museums with easy access to the tube. It is a Doubletree Hotel now, which is a chain that we are familiar with and we enjoy the chain services - not... More

This hotel is very convenient to the Tube, restaurants, and places of interest. It is modern, has a great breakfast, and a first-rate staff. The only glitch was in the check-out system's inability to accept a combination of cash + credit card.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
