This hotel is more than a 5 star hotel in a great location. We have been lucky enough to travel all round the world but never have we had such a warm relaxed welcome, immediately put at ease, helped by the surprise upgrade and wonderful technology in the room, lights in the running water telling you if hot or cold,... The Montcalm Marble Arch is dedicated to giving its guests a quality stay with a choice of pillows and room scent prior to your arrival. The staff in the restaurant is very helpful, efficient and friendly. This also applies to the check in and check out process. The room was very quiet (1st floor facing the front of the hotel)... I had low to no expectations of this hotel as the price seemed low and we were staying there on a work trip. From walking through the doors till I left I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The front desk team are all helpful, impeccably polite and very sweet. Our room was lovely, very well fitted out with... More

I was disappointed on arrival to be shown to the other side of the street to the sister hotel as Id wanted the pool. However, the room was comfortable, the bed great and lovely Elemis toiletries. Also a fabulous Russian receptionist brilliant at her job and very personable. She made me feel very welcome. The breakfast was good, not a... More

I had a peaceful, private and relaxing time while I stayed here. The beds and bedsheets are of good quality.the staff efficient and catered to all my wants 24/7. Particularly one chap named Andre was very quick to help with my luggage and very polite. Also the manger is very understanding to your personal needs. On a whole, a great... More

This boutique hotel is really nicely located near to Marble Arch tube and the shops on Oxford Street. Staff are very friendly and accommodating . The bedrooms are small but beautifully decorated. The bathroom has a glass partition but an internal blind for privacy. Fruit complimentary and Hildon water in the room. Breakfast is very nice with a buffet of... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Marble Arch by Montcalm last weekend. We were in London to celebrate my wife's birthday and the hotel experience played a big part in making our trip so enjoyable. The attentiveness and professionalism of Guest Experience Manager Laura Johansson and her team were outstanding. Every detail was thought about,... More

My wife and I had afternoon tea here as a result of receiving this as a gift. The hotel is very smart - but not too over the top to make you feel uncomfortable. The afternoon tea was superb - excellent sandwiches and cakes and scones to die for. Nothing was too much trouble for the excellent staff. We would... More

Booked a room at which I thought was the Montcalm but obviously it was for the guest house instead. The location is great, just minutes away from the Marble Arch tube station and taxis are easily available to hail at the front door as well. the stay was alright - was a little surprised by the grooming standards of the... Having been shafted by the Shaftesbury Hyde Park hotel, they put me in this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel which has obviously been recently refitted. My room was small but comfortable but had no window. There was also a distinct rumble from a ventilation system which started up in the middle of the night. Breakfast was very... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
