I stayed In this hotel a few times and while it is really well paced or tourists and business clients alike the cost of drins at the bar is ridiculous. Averaging £8.00 for a glass of mediocre red wine. The reception staff are very helpful but he restaurant staff serving breakfast all acted like they did not want to be... More

I stayed at 4th floor of this hotel during 21st-22nd january. My room rate was ~GBP350 (plus two breakfast). However, the stay was far from satisfactory, and I want to share the following points that lead to my view on this hotel. There is renovation works going on this floor during my stay, and the hotel staff promised the work... More

The location of this hotel is ideal for those visiting the City and the Tower area, it is in a quiet street right behind the Trinity Square, and in 2 mins walk from the Tube (5-6 mins from the DLR station). I like the Novotel hotels in London, and the Tower Bridge was no exception: very quick checkin procedure, coupled... More

Great stay at the Novotel London Bridge. Really modern and clean room, loved the frosted glass by the shower! Huge bed and large room, couldn't have asked for anything else. Great location, right by the Tube station. Friendly staff at check-in and lovely hotel bar as well, for London the prices weren't too bad at all! Breakfast choice was plentiful,... More

Good hotel in a good area for sightseeing. Decent size room with separate shower and toilet. All was very clean and the hotel left us a cake for my partners birthday which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Would stay again :)

The refurbished room was fabulous! Very clean, ultra-modern and comfortable. Tower Bridge and the London Tower were a few steps away and inner London was very close. The hop-on-hop-off bus was just near the Tower so very convenient to see the sights of London. Excellent value!

Nice hotel in a good location close to Tower Bridge and and the Tower of London. Underground and DLR station is just a few minutes walk. The hotel was recently refurbished. I really liked the new bedroom with the glass wall of the bathroom. Bar is very attractive, however quality of cocktails were not the best. I would even pay... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
