This is a small place, fairly close the Earl's Court Underground station. While it's not right next door to the station, it's only a few blocks, and whats in-between the two are great food and pub options. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are tidy - and the beds are very comfortable!

I stayed hear with my child for her first visit to London. London Lodge Hotel is conveniently ocated in a quiet street, close to the Underground station, busses and restaurants. The hotel had what we needed - a nice clean room, comfy beds and good shower, and offered a more than decent continental breakfast included in the room rate. The... More

I stayed here three days, for a weekend. Hotel had a very good standard. Clean, and warm room, Victorian style, near quiet atmosphere. Very stylish building. Breakfasts are delicious and staff helpful, and nice. I would like to come back soon!

I've stayed in this area before; weekends, museums, kids ... And I have to say this is the first time I've had anything negative to say about anywhere I have stayed. Booked this as a mini break for two nights. I booked a triple room, but on arrival was really, really disappointed. The room looks nothing like the hotel web... More

Dear DawnEve96, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I'm sorry that you were disappointed with your room. I believe that we offered to move you the following day but this doesn't seem to have been checked with you. We don't actually sell triple rooms online as we only have one of these rooms in the entire... More

We stayed at the London lodge hotel for one night and what a lovely place to stay, The receptionist was very welcoming and very helpful. We asked for a taxi to be arranged as we were going to the Theatre and nothing was to much trouble, The only thing my husband pointed out to me is that it was a... More

We have stayed in the Kensington area several times in the past and it's our preferred location. We knew we didn't want to go back to the hotel we had previously stayed in because of a very bad experience so I spent several hours researching hotels in the area and found the London Lodge Hotel. What appealed to us when... More

Dear Angten, Thank you for your wonderful review and we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, our usual restaurant staff were on Easter holidays that week which probably explains your bad experience although it is NO excuse for bad food. My apologies for your restaurant experience and I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you in... More

Great location, close to tube station and a number of restaurants. When we arrived the hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. Our room was not ready since we arrived early but when we returned in the afternoon our suitcases were already upstairs. The next morning we had a very early tour and breaksfast was taken to our room at... More

We found the location in Kensigngton to be ideal. Quiet beautiful street but busy street with grocery, bank etc within in five minutes walking distance. Same with tube station at Earls Court and bus stop. Hotel was beautiful and such a nice change from chains. Hotel staff so friendly and helpful. Many suggestions and help with sight seeing. Rooms are... More

Great hotel convenient for tube and bus routes but set in a quiet location. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about getting around London. Room was good, large bed and enough space, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok, continental included in room cost with the opportunity to upgrade to a full English. Likely to stay again on next visit to London.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
