Welcomed on arrival and escorted to my single room, and advised of the best way to travel back to the main areas in London. The room had everything I needed including TV, comfortable bed, a very efficient shower and - in view of the temperature - an excellent air conditioning unit. Was pleasantly surprised by the excellent dinner at a... More

We enjoyed our stay in this 3* hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful which made our first impressions of this hotel good. Although clean, the hotel could be made to be very grand, if a little bit of money was spent on it. Old tatty paintwork; poor tiling in the bathroom; chipped bath; grey, dirty net curtains etc.... I arrived quite late at night after a delayed flight and was warmly welcomed and shown to my (single) room. Spotlessly clean, small, though average London size room much the same as shown on website. My room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate and all staff in the dining room were also extremely... More

There was a mistake in the room (two singles instead of double) but they really looked for a solution. The room is not so big but... it's London. Very comfortable. Sadly the elevator broke (and we were on the 4th floor) but was fixed in less than 24 hs. Hotel manager was there to apologize and chat. Didn't have the... More

After each visit to london I come to the conclusion that this city is an inexhaustible barrel of discoveries and experiences. Of course any interested tourist wants to see as much as he or she can do during that journey. Satisfied but exhausted it is quite normal that after a long day you long for a good reception in your... More

I enjoyed my stay here. Yes, the room was small, but so are most hotel rooms in London. It was clean, the staff was friendly. It is close to the Earls Court Underground, but with it's location in a fairly quiet side street meant that it was easy to get a good nights sleep. I am not a big breakfast... More

This is a small place, fairly close the Earl's Court Underground station. While it's not right next door to the station, it's only a few blocks, and whats in-between the two are great food and pub options. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are tidy - and the beds are very comfortable!

I stayed hear with my child for her first visit to London. London Lodge Hotel is conveniently ocated in a quiet street, close to the Underground station, busses and restaurants. The hotel had what we needed - a nice clean room, comfy beds and good shower, and offered a more than decent continental breakfast included in the room rate. The... More

I stayed here three days, for a weekend. Hotel had a very good standard. Clean, and warm room, Victorian style, near quiet atmosphere. Very stylish building. Breakfasts are delicious and staff helpful, and nice. I would like to come back soon!

I've stayed in this area before; weekends, museums, kids ... And I have to say this is the first time I've had anything negative to say about anywhere I have stayed. Booked this as a mini break for two nights. I booked a triple room, but on arrival was really, really disappointed. The room looks nothing like the hotel web... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
