There isn't a single thing I could fault about my stay here. Customer service from the front desk staff was amazing. My room was nice, clean, the bed was super comfortable. Very close to Gloucester Rd tube station which makes it very convenient to get to Heathrow. Close to Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum.

Well I've always heard good things about the Rydges but when we got to London I was disappointed. I know they say you get what you paid for but you expect better things for your hard earned money. We booked off the net (I think) for the accommodation and when we got there we found we were in the basement... More

We were in London with our 10 year old son and stayed at Rydges Kensington. The room (104) exceeded our expectations. We had a seperate room for our son with a pull out couch. The beds were really comfortable, and the bathroom was huge with tub, seperate shower and double sinks. The staff were all very nice and went out... More

We couldn't have been happier with the Rydges Kensington London. The hotel is within walking distance of The Natural History Museum, Harrods, Kensington gardens, Stamford Bridge, many pubs, a grocery store and the Gloucester Tube station which can easily get you anywhere in the city. We had the executive king and had plenty of room for the two of us... More

We were in London to visit my daughter and chose this hotel due to its proximity to her. This is actually a good value for money hotel in a decent neighbourhood, i.e. good locationneighbourhood. The staff are very cheerful, friendly and helpful. However, double check the room sizes. Their standard rooms are really very small. I suggest you book early enough... More

Hotel is in a great location - just a couple of minutes to the tube and the bus stops right in front of the hotel. Room was a decent size and the bathroom was nicely done. We were on the first floor the first night of our stay and it was very noisy from street noise, so we asked to... More

I live in Europe. I'm used to small spaces. I know London has notoriously small hotel rooms (I've stayed in some) but this is THE smallest room I've ever stayed in! My fiancé and I stayed here for a weekend trip and had two small carry-on bags. We barely had space for them! I literally don't know how those traveling... More

Dear Meghan J, Thank you for your review and leaving us your feedback. We are disappointed to see that your overall stay was not up to the standard we uphold. Please be aware that we have got many different categories of room’s, which offer variations of sizes. The rooms are a standard city size, and I can sympathise when saying... More

I have stayed at Rydges a number of times, and I remain impressed with the quality of the rooms and the great location. 2 minutes walk from the tube but also plenty of eating and drinking options if you can't be bothered going far. Nice decor, good service, pleasant rooms and a very comfortable bed. I will continue to use... More

Service was fab & cakes were delicious but sandwiches a let down. We weren't asked what we would like in our sandwiches they just arrived dry & uninviting. 2 triangles of Tuna & Cucumber, salmon & cucumber & soft cheese & cucumber (we HATE cucumber) so out that came & we were left with merger amount of filling. Shame as... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
