This was our first stay at Rydges in London. We were welcomed by very friendly staff . The rooms are lovely & bathrooms extremely clean. The meals a the Jam cupboard offer a great variety . The Polo bar is a nice place to start an evening out. A very special thank you to Janel & Ye Ma for making... More

I stayed in this hotel for a 2 night business trip, I had not stayed here since the name change. The overall feel of the Hotel is fresh, current and bright. The service at the front desk was very speedy and efficient and indeed all the staff were very helpful, (not always the case in London hotels!) I had a... More

I frequently stay at this hotel when Im in London for work and cant fault it. The rooms as clean and nicely decorated, and the wifi is fast. The location is great, its easy to find parking on the surrounding roads and the staff are fantastic. Great value for money.

Excellent hotel with a great bed. This hotel is very well situated if, like me, you are a tourist in London! The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. There is a tube station just a block away. We rode the tube from airport with no issues. The breakfast is outstanding and worth adding to your reservation. The... More

My boyfriend and I just returned home from a 6 night stay at the Rydges Kensington. We were so pleased with how comfortable it was and how fantastic the staff was. LOCATION: You can literally see the front door as soon as you walk out of the Gloucester Road tube station, so transportation is super convenient. Also, many coach tours... More

Recently stayed a week at this hotel while enjoying a break in London. Check in was good but when got to the room it was clean and tidy but had a view of the buildings next door and an air conditioning unit, which would go on and off all day and night. After 5 nights of staying our bedding had... More

We stayed two nights in connection with an art exhibition in London in February 2015. It was a really great stay with fab customer service and a very comfortable quiet room. i sometimes have problems sleeping in hotel rooms due to all the ambient noise but not at Rydges. It was quiet, clean and really conveniently located just 150m from... More

I traveled to London with my ten year old daughter. The Rydges was our first hotel and we stayed for four nights. I was very pleased with the location. Very easy to get to from Heathrow, and even better for getting around to anything you want to do in Central London. We walked to Buckingham Palace and back. For destinations... More

Close to the Underground and bus routes. Room was clean and tidy, and quiet. Breakfast was adequate but lacked attention to detail Staff not helpful and reception staff were rude. This hotel is not a short walk from the Albert Hall - it is a good walk and a good taxi ride.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
