Rydges is conveniently located near the tube station, and a short walk to Royal Albert Hall, Victoria and Albert Museum,Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, Harrods and other destinations. The single room was very small but had ample closets, a clean modern style with an efficient design. The bathroom was quite roomy and new. Desk staff was pleasant and accommodating but some... More

We stay at the Rydges Kensington on a short 1 night stay to see an event in London. On arrival you get the overall impression that it's geared for business customers but that’s fine no problem to me. Check in took a while with just one gentleman checking in and even when a queue formed it took a while for... More

Cute little Hotel. Decent sized, well equipped and nicely styled room and at a very good rate which included internet and breakfast. The Bathroom size is fine with a great shower however that ran out of hot water once which was a nice pick me up. The sink is tiny though and wasn't draining properly which was an inconvenience. Location... More

I've stayed here about 4 times in the last 10 years and always come back. It had a GREAT refurb about 3-4 years ago, and the hotel has a new feel about it from the refurb. Fantastic location close to cafes in Kensington, steps away from Glaucster Rd tube station and a quick walk from Kensington Palace for an awesome... More

Stayed here last night before visiting the Albert Hall. Reception staff were very helpful (not just to ourselves - but were also seen giving fantastic customer service to other clients). We were upgraded to an executive suite which was perfect for the three of us. I have never stayed in a central London hotel which was so quiet - very... More

As many other reviewers stated, this hotel is in a great location. It is just steps to the Gloucester Road Tube station and close to a number of restaurants. I will say the room was cozy (a polite way of saying very small). However, it suited our needs for the week, i.e., we were there to see London, not stay... More

Great location and friendly staff. The executive room and esp the bathroom size surprised me as to how small it was. The 1st floor curtains let in the street lights which was annoying. Great selection of restaurants in walking distance and the same for tube and supermarkets.

Stayed in this hotel for a weekend, upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and made feel welcome. The room was ok, bit small and seemed to be in the middle of no where in the hotel, ensure was small, but manageable! For a quick weekend break this is a good hotel.

Decent Hotel, Standard used to be better a few years ago. good Breakfast at a good rate. But the staff in the Breakfast room was always watching you what you would be taking next. We ordered the full english which took a long time to make and one continental Breakfast. Coffee was lousy. The Airconditioning in room was either to... More

after my first visits I joined their membership program and this time I booked the room directly with them. I was disapointed with what I ve got. tiny dark room on 1st floor with view on the air condition outside. Heating System did not work and they told me that I just did not know how to operate the System.... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
