Small, poorly decorated room, appallingly smelling , carpet full of stains, loud, walls thin like paper, able to understand every word of neighbour´s phone call. No free internet access Nicely located near "Bond Street" underground

I was worried that our room with two double beds would be too small for two adults and two teenagers, but was pleased to find that we had (just barely) enough space. The beds were comfortable and there were numerous pillows (inaccurately) labeled with the degree of firmness. The bathroom was tiny and had peeling paint and a few stains... More

What more can I say other than the title? My parents are staying at this hotel at the monent, a trip I arranged for them. They have a lovely, spacious and well-equipped bedroom and the staff on Reception and throughout the hotel are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The public areas (reception/restaurant/bar) are pleasantly furnished and the food is excellent. The... More

Ideal hotel for our work leaving party in the Loop Bar just south of Oxford Street. The hotel was only 200 metres away from the venue (being just north of Oxford Street in a quiet street) so absolutely no street noise when we got back to the hotel. Nice big English Breakfast in the morning to shake off the alcohol... More

This is a good location for this hotel in bond street. The staff in the hotel are useless and clearly dont have a clue what their doing. The room was really small and the bath room was the size of a cupboard.

This hotel has to be the worst hotel I have stayed at. I have stayed at other Holiday Inn's and have always enjoyed my experience but this was awful. The hotel looked like if was falling apart. Looked cheap and dingy. Our floor absolutly stank and the room was awful. The carpet looked like it hadnt been cleaned, paint was... More

Despite other reviews that we had read and which had in turn worried us, we could not possibly fault this Holiday Inn in any shape or form!! From the initial booking over the phone to the hotel service including the bedrooms, buffet breakfast, location, pictures on the internet, baggage storage and tourist information... the hotel was top class! It is... More

What a nice hotel just of Oxford St.. It's situatiated on a quiet street (by London-standards) and the area has a lot of restaurants within a couple of hundred yards. The room was very nice for a long weekend in this city. If I had to say one bad thing about this Holiday Inn it would have to be the... More

Oh dear, what a disappointment. We have stayed in Holiday Inn before and this was a real let down. So much so, I doubt we will stay in another. Centre of London and they are cutting corners. We expected average for the price we paid, should of stayed in a 3 star and got better. 1. Air Condtioning had not... More

Although the hotel and rooms are a bit tired, the location is excellent for access to shopping, dining and transport in a safe relatively quiet area of london. There was wifi internet in the rooms, but rates were expensive and you had to use the time you bought consecutively which was annoying. No need to pay bed and breakfast rates... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
