Nice quiet location, just a couple of minutes walk from Oxford Street. Staff very friendly, especially in the restaurant. Took my 2 children who are 9 and 4 for a couple of days sightseeing, and the staff were great - making sure my kids had everything they needed. Stayed in the family room, which was a nice size, clean and... More

Dear sarz1977, Thank you for your review and I was pleased that your family had a great stay in one of our family rooms. I will pass your feedback onto the restaurant as I am sure they will appreciate it. The great thing about staying centrally is that it does not take long to get anywhere and with two young... More

A really good location, but the room we were staying in could do with a bit of a face lift. However, the hotel is ideally placed for shopping, eating and tube station. We didn't bother with breakfast this time as there are so many lovely delis nearby and are great to try. The bar is not always manned and this... More

Dear Brian D, Thank you for completing a review of our hotel. Our location as you found is excellent for most central London activities. Bond street is our nearest tube station but Oxford circus and marble arch are also close by. I will look into the issue with the bar as this should not be happening and I will monitor... More

Satisfied our requirement for the location. wanted to be in walking distance of BBC and Shaftesbury Ave, (which may not be walking distance for some). The room (489) was clean and the bed comfortable and clean. Very good shower in bathroom. A bit noisy outside from, we assume Extractor fans from kitchens/aircon. Staff on reception were polite and accommodated an... More

We usually choose the Holiday Inn hotels when traveling and there is one available. This one has a great location, all the other features are quite average. We stayed for 4 days this May so did not expect anything special. The price is ok, rooms are clean but would need a little jazz up. It was suprising that they charge you... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of the London marathon deal. The stay was good, the hotel and staff were nice. As for the deal, things could be improved. The coach provided to take you to the start departs at 6:30, we arrived at start at 7;25 far too early, coach should be 7:45, it only takes 20mins on... More

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Once upon a time you could expect a certain level of comfort and service from a holiday inn but it seems these days it is more pot luck! Unfortunately this particular hotel is one of the worse ones! The first room I was given was on the the first floor... More

A clean and tidy hotel. Helpful staff. Above all though a great location. Close to shopping on Oxford Street, Bond Street and Regent Street and Bond Street tube. I will definitely return for my next leisure trip to London.

An excellent hotel that is so ideally located in central London. The Hotel were very ameniable and let my friend check-in while I was en route to the hotel. The hotel was a little on the old side for a HI property, but I think it blended well and offered charm along with comfort and charisma. All hotel staff we... More

After leaving Bond Street tube station, we followed our map to find this hotel, but we ended up going the long way round! Firstly we arrived at the hotel at 11am, although we knew that we couldn't check in until 2pm- so the hotel let us leave our bags in the luggage room. After initially getting lost when locating the... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
