I stayed here for a few days based on recommendations from a few friends. Upon arrival & after check-in, the first thing I noticed was the small elevator. Seriously, it is very, very small. You'll be lucky to fit 1 person with 1 big luggage. 2 persons is practically impossible. Secondly, the rooms are very simple, very basic. They are,... More

I did stay (2 pax) at Berjaya in London but am absolute disapppointed about the service this London hotel provides: when not being claustofobic you will get it in the elevator and upstairs; room was not clean, we stayed at 307 after a chance from the top floor where it was stinking and an empty bottle under the bed and... Small and pretty out dated rooms, but ok. The beds were comfortable enough. Extremely narrow bathroom. The reception area was much more aesthetically pleasing than the rest of the hotel. Good value for money. (Ordered through hotels.com). The underground stations Bayswater and Queensway are in the neighbourhood, which is great. No internet, unless you buy a voucher in the reception.... More

I stay for business in London hotels every week. Since I stayed here for the first time I have come back every week. Prime reasons are that it is really close to the tube and is a hotel with character. The hotel has a quirky layout and many of the rooms are hard to get too by lift, but I... More

The staff were friendly and the lobby was very smart looking. The hotel is not too far from central London and is only a short walk from shoreditch market. My room was very cold on entry and the curtains hung in front of the radiator meaning they blocked most of the heat. The bathroom was FREEZING, there was no heating... More

The one thing that will stick in my mind of this place is the bathroom, which was in my single room, basically a cupboard with toilet at one side of the door, sink in the middle, and shower at the other side. It was basically impossible for anybody over 5'2" to sit on the toilet without wrapping their knees around... More

We readed reviews before our trip and didnt expect too much. Yes, room and bathroom are tiny, but it wasnt problem for us. Room was clean enought. Only real problem was that water pressure in shower was low, it was enough to have a shower, but washing the long hair was quite a challenge. Anyway, the location is excellent and... More

I stay in many hotels in London on business and would return to many but I will never stay here again. The staff are surly and pretty unhelpful (apart from the guy who took me to my room) which was room 64 that from reception was down a corridor down some stairs into a lift upto one level and then... I found the staff very helpful and the location excellent. My room was clean and though small, was adequate. However the decor was tired - the net curtains grey, the bathroom in need of a refit. Balance this against a very reasonable price and I think it was good value - you get what you pay for. I made a... More

Yes, the rooms in the hotel are in a dire need of a major revamp and its maze-like set-up can be confusing. Having read its negative reviews, I went with an open mind and am pleased to say that I found the beds comfy and room reasonably clean. What I like best is its location - quite self-sufficient in that... More
