Staff were pretty cool. Loved the ambiance of the lounge. Great location. Super close to Bayswater tube. Lots of people hanging around the hotel on weekend nights. Did not bother me one bit was great atmosphere. Rooms are sufficient. The lift is the size of a large suitcase (just a forewarning). Loved that I could open a window on the... More

I stayed here in October 2014 on my very first trip to London. This hotel was chosen by the travel company I booked my trip through. The lobby and bar/restaurant area is very welcoming with cozy colors and a pretty fireplace. The size of my single room was a shock, being used to American hotels. But I found it to... More

I spent two nights here in October 2014 together with some friends. The location is great with a short walk to both Bayswater and Queensway underground stations. The reception and breakfast area is very nice but as soon as you go up to the rooms the standard is much lower. We had a small twin room. It was clean but... More

Like most of the "affordable" London hotels, the rooms can be quite small - this hotel is no exception! I have stayed here a few times before but have managed somehow to get the same room at the back of the hotel on a lower ground floor. That particular room (room 38 if I remember correctly) was a reasonable size... More

What a surprise that a hotel close to Bayswater was so nice. The rooms are clean and big and most of the staff is really helpful - except for a Receptionist that was working yesterday evening. My parents (they were the ones staying) don't speak English, and an Asian man at Reception was not helpfult all. He was looking at... More

Great location. Bayswater and Queensway tube stations nearby. Lots of halal restaurants as well as supermarkets round the corner. Friendly staff. Hotel itself is old, dated and tired. Tiny lift and small rooms...

This hotel was 'ok'. It was neither poor or brilliant. We went to London to explore and so really just wanted a room to sleep in, for which The Berjaya was ok for. Having said this, our room was on the forth floor and it was SO warm we could hardly sleep. We had the window open the entire time,... More

First of all, I booked a Classic Single Room in December 2014. It advertised a whole host of room amenities, and was quite a reasonable price for such a central hotel. Arriving at the property I found it is just 2 minutes walk from either Bayswater or Queensway underground stations (which, conveniently are on two different lines). It's also a... More

This hotel is now my London base, I am in London 1-2 times a year. I have stayed here some 5 times now, and I am satisfied. As London hotels goes in the cheap to medium price bracket the rooms are small, and the hotel as such is neither modern nor high class. But the staff - including maid -... More

Booked a twin room for one night, when we arrived it was a very warm welcome from the staff who were extremely helpful. The room had one double and one single bed which were comfortable and the room was very warm which was great for mid December! The shower was a bit cold but other than that everything worked perfectly.... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
