I have just arrived back from a long weekend trip (3 couples) in London staying at The Cumberland hotel. The location was absolutely perfect as it is directly on the corner of Oxford Street at Marble Arch. Less than 1 minute walk and you were on Oxford Street or in Hyde Park which was surprising since on the map it... More

This was my second stay at the Cumberland Hotel. My husband and I recently stayed for five nights at the Hotel. On check in we were given the option to upgrade our prebooked room. Initially we said no, but were give the option to view both rooms. Needless to say, we took the upgrade. Our chosen room had a corner... More

We arrived by taxi from Kings Cross and whilst we were waiting to pay the taxi driver the porter opened the car door for us and took the cases out, we were given a ticket and advised that if we handed this to the reception then our suitcases would be delivered to the room. (it gives you the indication of... More

This is a really nice hotel, comfortable. The rooms are nicely appointed, and the bathroom remodels are beautiful. Stayed in from 2085... it was on the east side of the hotel facing a pedestrian area. VERY NOISY pub right beneath our window. Was hard to sleep. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at the Cumberland and would recommend... More

This hotel has a good location. The tein room is very small so I chose to stay at the executive family room. The bed is not firm. The executive lounge is on the ground floor and not very large. The drinks are pretty helpful after a long day though it can be rather crowded. It is worth it to get... More

I went there on a business trip on May 2012. I had a room with a view to Marble Arch and Hyde Park. Clean and cozy room (somewhat small, but enough for 1-2 people - no kids-), with iron, kettle... little details that make a difference. Round the corner from Oxford Street, with the Marble Arch metro station close. Great... More

This was our third time here. We found the room to be a little tired but comfortable. It was a little noisy with the road traffic and workmen at 4am but we were on the first floor. Verbally nice stay

Even though this is an enormous hotel which seems discouraging, this hotel is very good.Rooms are clean and comfortable.(only the shower is a bit tricky to ajust) Front desk service is excellent, and they even b ook concert tickets for you.Besst thing about the hotel is its location,2 minutes from marble arch underground and right opposite oxford street shopping. Also they have a... Stayed here for one night while on a Jaunt in London. Hotel ideally located for shopping / touring etc. This is a large hotel, with a large and somewhat chaotic reception area ( felt more like Picadilly Circus). The overall layout might best be described as a bit of a labyrinth, (so a personal compass might not go amiss) The... More

Thanks anhonestJo for your comments, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, and would mention we are renovating our lower ground floor Restaurant, The Market, to "soften" it as you rightly point out. We are a large Hotel and this is the main breakfast restaurant so I would urge you to try it again soon to experience the... More

The Cumberland hotel is in a great location, next to Marble Arch, and whilst the reception is very flashy the hotel is barley average. I had a poor first impression when checking in for my two night stay; my £125 per night room was TINY (not even a two person room) and the bathroom had a horrible drainage smell coming... More
