I have stayed in many hotels in London using booking.com . Supposed to stay at the Millenium Mayfair , but inexplicably they cancelled the reservation and ended up in the Cumberland , that tends to cater for an Arab clientelle . Arrived at 3pm , and given a disabled access room (6051 ) The room was fine , but the... More

I stayed here for one night in November to attend a company trade awards at a nearby hotel. So glad my company booked me into this Hotel, from the minute you arrive in the foyer, you know you are in a classy establishment. Fantastic decor which is so easy on the eye aswell as being funky. Check in was very... More

Excellent Location for Oxford Street Shopping and easy access to the Tube station (Central Line). The Service at Check in was some of the best we have experienced, with nothing too much trouble. The hotel itself is modern, spacious but busy. We had an exec room at the back of the hotel (avoids the noise from Oxford Street) which was... More

A coach load of us stay at The Cumberland every year on a London trip that is a fundraiser for Slaithwaite Brass Band. Prebooked a year in advance we get a good deal. Experience tells me that there is a wide variety of room size and location dictates noise levels (a truism of most hotels). Breakfast us fantastic, the service... More

Just had a one night stay while meeting ex colleagues for a bit of a reunion. Lovely room picked for me by a very helpful Polish girl based in the foyer reception. I have mobility problems and this room had an easy access shower and double bed. I slept very well, unusual when I am away from home! Will certainly... More

Stayed here for our honeymoon. Arrived very early from Australia and we were given an upgrade and allowed to check in to the room. Room was clean and modern and the bathroom was excellent (clean with a fantastic shower). Location is also very good, right above Marble Arch Tube station and on Oxford street. Booked online and had no problems... More

I made a booking online at 10:30 through the Guoman website for an exeutive double room so I had a confirmed reservation. I had however made a mistake and selected 1 person rather than 2 people in the room so I phoned the hotel to correct my error but was put off by the brusque telephone manner of the person... More

Having stayed many times before we had a night in the Hendrix Suite which was totally cool! Kate Gilbert of customer services made all the difference and turned a huge hotel into a home. The location is great for shopping and business and whilst it a huge hotel, one of the biggest in London, if Kate looks after you, all... More

The location of this hotel is excellent for shopping, sight seeing, and leisure. Once u exit the hotel u r right in Oxford street. Tube station and buses are a few steps from hotel. All around the hotel you will find very nice coffee shops, pharmacy, and a 24hours grocery is just opposite the hotel main door. The beautiful Hyde... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
