We have returned back home after 5 days stay at The Cumberland. When booking for the stay I requested a room facing Hyde Park and also enquired about gluten-free products for breakfast. On checking-in we were upgraded to an Executive Room facing Hyde Park on the 6th Floor and on the first day when we went down for breakfast they... More

I have stayed here twice in the last two weeks. The location is ideal for the West End and the public areas are very nice if a little warm. The bedrooms are average although I stayed in the Executive room last and the TV was fitted to a wall that was at a 45 degree from the end of the... More

Excellent customer service. Bed was extremely comfortable, so had a really good nights sleep. I did have an issue with the key card to my room the following morning of my stay, which was resolved in a very friendly and quick manner. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Staying in hotels throughout the world as part of my job, I expected this hotel to provide food and service to equal most.....how wrong I was. The 'executive king' room, was small, dark, missing many of advertised facilities..... power shower was a gravity drizzle shower.....heated towel rail......cold. extractor in the bathroom was....believe it or not a non closing window....in December!... Stayed one night as I was attending a function elsewhere in Central London. Check-in was OK despite lobby being busy. Room was very average with numerous faults - most TV channels were 'snowy' with poor picture and sound. Tea/coffee cupboard wouldn't open fully because there wasn't enough space due to the bed so we couldn't slide the shelf out to... More

I booked the Cumberland because I had stayed there before and had enjoyed my stay in an executive room. However on my recent stay my experience was less than enjoyable. I booked two rooms for a family weekend, my sister and I and our 2 grown up children. On this occasion The executive rooms were small and shabby ! A... More

Stayed for a couple of nights on business. Good experience at check-in. Pleasant staff. Big hotel and yet curiously tranquil. Room was fine - nothing special but clean and well appointed. Breakfast was fine too. Plenty of choice and all nicely turned out. What can you say about these big corporate hotels unless you have a poor or outstanding experience?!... More

Overall, this isn't a bad place to stay. The location is pretty great, right by an underground station and the Marble Arch, although they never seem to have the side door open so you have to go out the front and walk around. It's not a long walk at all, but annoying you can't just go out the side door.... More

We have just spent a weekend at this hotel and from start to finish the hotel was perfect. We were met by very polite door staff who immediately asked if they could take our bags and check in was very simple and efficient and the member of staff that checked us in did his job very well. Our room was... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
