Fabulous location right next to Marble Arch Massive and spectacular foyer. Spotlessly clean. Have stayed in a dozen similar London hotels on business and The Cumberland is the one I choose to return to when on my own fine. Can get a great rate from Late Rooms a lot of the time which makes up for the pricey restaurant and... More

The best part about this hotel is location!!! the hotel is huge but the rooms are quite small.but when you stay on oxford street there is no complain!! at breakfast time, its better to reach on time, since if u r late, there is a waiting time and a big queue! its quite a turnoff but nonetheless, the buffet spread... The best part of this hotel is location. Nothing to beat the location, nothing. 2 minutes walk from Marble Arch station. Barring that the hotel was okay. Rooms tight, extremely expensive, the check in took for ever, housekeeping took for ever to keep rooms ready. The breakfast was decent. But the location covered for everything.

Because of an early group departure, we had breakfast to go boxes. Mine was missing several items and staff was not prompt in dispensing them. My travel companion and I had to ask more than once to get our luggage which was stored there for a period of time. Worst of all, the postcards I asked the front desk to... More

The Hotel accommodates up to 2000 people at any one time. I found it very frustrating that you had to use the life to get to all floors. People were catching lifts from the Ground floor to the First floor.First floor to second floor, second floor to third floor etc.The same thing happened on the way down where you were stopping... Booked the hotel because of the location and it was ok. The room was clean but in need of a bit of maintenance which I was surprised of considering the rating of the hotel. Breakfast was poor but the thing that stood out most as a disappointment was the advertisements of a beer garden...which in fact was nothing more than... More

Well centered for sure, close to Hyde park and Oxford street but rooms and breakfast are not at the level of a 4 stars. I am there for business. Noisy breakfast room, large place, not easy to move inside, really not comfortable. Small bedRooms and badly finished it term of work.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
