We enjoyed afternoon tea at number twelve at the ambassador on a Wednesday afternoon.warm and friendly greeting followed by being seated at a nice table by the window. The staff were excellent and courteous. The selection of sandwiches and cakes were good as was the tea/ coffee. The scones did not look very appetising but were actually nice and tasty... More

Stayed one night with a friend to enjoy a night out in London. The rooms are small but were clean, comfortable and certainly sufficient for a one night stay. The proximity of the hotel to Euston Station was excellent and a 5 minute walk to Russell Square tube station gets you to on the Piccadilly Line and a couple of... More

The location is excellent - very convenient to transport. The staff on reception were good. The room was smallish and the bathroom very small with a shower rather than a bath. Closet space is minimal. The toilet door is a smoked glass so that vague shapes are visible on the other side. You want to be comfortable with the other... More

This hotel is just opposite Euston station - a really convenient location from which you can easily walk to the British Museum, or Oxford Street. Positives: very friendly reception staff, a good buffet breakfast with hot food cooked to order (proper mushrooms, well poached eggs, decent bacon), windows that open Negatives - rather shabby (the tables in the breakfast room... Stayed recently at this hotel, and there was a delay in check-in. Room small, but bed comfortable. Be warned there is no ironing facilities in this hotel. Bathroom wasn't large. Breakfast was ample, but just lacked certain things, and the ceiling was also leaking. The hilton across the road is superior in my opinion.

How this hotel gets a 4-star rating is beyond me. Our room was super-tiny, so was the bed. There were no closets for our clothes, and in the bath no space to place anything. Every time I showered, the whole floor was wet because the shower curtain was too small. The breakfast buffet is ok, but I certainly saw better.... More

Myself & a friend stayed at this hotel for a weekend stay, the room decor was quite tired and the bathroom reminded my friend of a ships cabin bathroom! very small!! There was a wardrobe but you could only hang two/three items of clothes (hope this gives you an idea of the size) Lift was the slowest in history! on... More

Stayed one night in room 411. The room is very small, particularly as it is designed for wheelchair use, although the bathroom is a wet room, and by far the best thing about it. The hotel is really handy for Euston station and that really is the best I can say. The lift adjacent to this room is so noisy... More

I have stayed at this hotel before and gave it a good rating the last time. On this occasion though, my room was so small that I would never consider using the hotel again. I just cannot recommend a hotel where some of the rooms are ridiculously tiny.

Externally, the Ambassadors Bloomsbury looks grand and imposing. It conjures up images of large palatial bedrooms and executive London splendour. In fact, it's shoebox living at it's very best. The location is fabulous. Minutes from Euston station and a short walk from Kings Cross-St Pancras. We walked to Oxford Street in about 15 mins and Leicester Square in about 20... More
