The hotel is expensive and the rooms are small, but the location is great and the staff is friendly and excellent. It is also a bit trendier/modern that I generally prefer, but I would definitely stay here again. They do not have a restaurant, but there are other restaurants nearby, and they have a kitchen for room service or eating... More

What can I say about this hotel. First, I would call it a boutique hotel. It doesn't have an unlimited amount of rooms like the Hilton (and Paris). The service is personal, they don't breath on your neck as in some hotels and it's all very relaxed, apart from sometimes the loud American tourist that needs to be heard throughout... More

It's the quality of service, friendliness and little touches of efficiency that make all the difference at the Knightsbridge. The photos don't do the design elements justice. An excellent honesty bar and great breakfasts. The location is perfect for shoppers and V&A devotees. Ample outlets, including a U.S. outlet, marble baths, turn down service, free wifi that always works (!),... More

London hotels have been disappointing over the years but the Firmdale touch has restored my faith. The Knightsbridge Hotel offers a sublime bolthole in a perfect location. The staff are welcoming and immediately recognise us each time we depart and arrive. The lounge areas are intimate and the honesty bar allows one to believe that the hotel is 'home'. The... More

No shortage of praise for Knightsbridge Hotel. Location, amenities, attentive staff all wonderful. But what amazes me every time is the silence! Has to be the quietest street in bustling London, yet within minutes of everything.

I can't speak highly enough of the Knightsbridge Hotel in London (Firmdale Hotels). Intimate ,personal, contemporary decor, accommodating and perfectly located on a lovely residential street around the corner from Harrods. Many charming, well priced ethnic restaurants in the area and also a walk from Buckingham Palace (17 state rooms open and the DIAMONDS-fabulous), 3 blocks from Victoria and Albert,... More

Placed on a quiet side street in beautiful Knightsbridge, the Knightsbridge Hotel was a welcome retreat to augment a busy and full touring agenda on our recent trip to London. The Glorious -- quiet street, beautiful lobby, drawing room with an honor bar for that quintessential refreshment, pleasant staff, GREAT shower water pressure, soaps, shampoos and room amenities that pamper you... This place is a gem: a quaint, well-maintained, well-run boutique hotel just a couple of blocks away from Harrod's and the rest of the Knightsbridge shopping banquet. The rooms are nice, the staff friendly and efficient, the two lounge rooms well-stocked with an honour bar. And it is within walking distance of so many things, from Kensington Gardens to Royal... The Knightsbridge Hotel is a great choice if proximity to luxury shops is your number one priority. You will be steps away from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and all the luxe shops of Sloane St. A ten minute walk will bring you to the V and A Museum (try to get tickets to the incredible Alexander McQueen show). However, if you're... More

My mother and I were so excited to finally arrive in London at the Knightsbridge Hotel after flying in from America. The second we set our bags down in the room, we left to have lunch at Harrod's. We made at terrible mistake not to lock our valuables in the safe in our room. When we got back to our... More

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
