Spent two nights at the Hotel in August 2014. Location was good with easy access to Camden and Primrose Hill. Beds in the room were small and uncomfortable. Carpet was stained. Bathroom was very dated and had a frequent unpleasant smell.

Well, I was really rather worried after reading various reviews on here about this hotel. Words like 'unsafe' and 'disgusting' don't bode well when you're about to stay a night somewhere so needless to say I was rather apprehensive upon arrival. I walked in at reception and was welcomed by oak panelling, a mirrored ceiling and an eclectic mix of... More

Avoid this hotel it certainly does not do the Britannia Group any favours. We were given a basement room, with no windows, no air conditioning and no bathroom ventilation! After hours of asking to be moved to a room above ground level we were eventually moved to the Marriott at Regents Park, this was 11.00 pm at a reduced price.... More

Booked to stay for 2 nights (Sat/Sun), chose the Britannia for its location and because everywhere else was booked up. The receptionist was very abrupt and unwelcoming, the carpets in the lobby and hallways were very grubby, the place has a strange stale smell. We checked in and went to our room, took one look at it and promptly booked... More

spent 2 nights there with my son for a London WE, choosed it for the location and because the other places I'm used to stay had no more rooms available or only luxury ones/too expensive. pillows smelling sweat, rooms need to be totally freshen up, carpet in the corridor is full of stains over the years, people for cleaning hanging... My partner and I live in Brighton and work in London. We have just started staying in a hotel once a week to break up the commute and ideally we are looking for a place that is reasonably priced and consistent in terms of standards. We are not looking for luxury or any bells and whistles – just a comfortable... More

Having read some of the reviews after making my 'Non Refundable' booking. I entered the hotel room with gut wrenching trepidation of what horror lurks behind those doors, however much to my relief, I was very pleasantly surprised. Yes, I'm sure some guests had wallpaper peeling off the walls, yes I'm sure some rooms had windows that never opened wide... More

Just stayed one night in this hotel. Room was adequate and bar stayed open late. However my colleagues warned me about the breakfast. Didn't think it was possible to a get a breakfast buffet quite so wrong. Didn't try sausage, egg, mushroom as they looked inedible. What I did try was pretty bad and croissant I resorted to was stale.... More

We have just stayed here for two nights. We read the reviews before booking but thought it was worth the risk as there were as many good as bad. Ignore the good ones. So the good points first. It's close to the northern line so is a great base for sightseeing in Central London . The area seems nice enough... More

This hotel was comfortable and clean. It is in a great area and was relatively close to a tube station and great bus access. It is old and probably needs a freshen up. No air conditioning - and we happened to get to london in a mild heat wave! (Not the hotels fault!) it had a weird smell always present... More
