I stayed 3 nights and I found this a good business hotel. The staff is really fast, both at check-in and check-out and the room was the right size, clean and comfortable. The only downside is that the daily housekeeping is an extra and the walls are a bit too thin if you have a noisy neighbor. If you are... More

Stayed 4 nights and the check in was efficient and quick except that the rooms with queen sized bed were not ready and hence settled for a twin bed room. Staff were helpful but very curt except for Mehmed who helped with the tube n bus schedule. Location ideal as next to bus stand and Barbican tube station. It is... More

I have been for 13 nights, and they do housekeeping only 2 times. The studio size is good and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is not bad, it is near Barbican metro station and bus station. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is cast £17 and I think it worth it.

Stayed here for an overnight whilst attending a dinner event close by and subsequent meeting next day. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room I had and facilities available in the room which was as good if not better than many budget hotels. We didn't use the breakfast facilities as we went to Smithfield market nearby where... More

Had an excellent midweek stay here, was asked at check in if I'd like a room on the front or back so I asked for the quietest option, and a high floor. Got 7th floor on the back and it was a very quiet stay. I had a deluxe studio (identical to the one in the main picture. Spacious and... More

We stay in London several times a year and I think this hotel is the best value for money of all the hotels we stayed in. It's located 2 minutes from a tube station with 3 lines in a nice and quiet neighbourhood. We booked a studio with a comfortable kingsize bed and a very well equipped kitchenette. We even... More

I stayed 4 nights while traveling on business. I didn't realize there is no room cleaning, very few amenities and over priced breakfast. If you like little things like being able to get change to pay a taxi, a place to get a bottle of sparkling water, or hand lotion this is not the place for you. It is fairly... More

Good reception staff, hotel well sighted for attractions, clean appartment, quiet at back. Kitchen small but fitted out OK. Only one chair in studio. On major bus routes, walking distance to Barbican Centre with its entertainment centre and near St Pauls and Tower of London

I stayed here for several nights while on business in London. I had previously stayed at the Citadines Holborn and found it fine, but this Citadines has seen better days - at least concerning the room I stayed in. The room was worn and had seen much better days. The bathroom was 'clean' but with mold on the joints etc.... More

Good for a little weekend stay, however the rooms were far too warm, even with both the windows open pinned back all day and night (which is not exactly convenient) woke up in a pool of sweat everyday, yuck. Air con would have been a huge plus (yes we made sure the radiators were off). luckily got a room facing... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
