Stayed a few times here for business, never more than one night. Rooms are relatively basic, but do the job nicely. The beds are huge and comfortable. Some rooms face onto the road, which was a noise concern, but I was never disturbed by any noise. On a recent stay I was given an entire apartment suite, well-appointed kitchen, living... More

Stayed 2 nights at the Barbican Citadines. Overall enjoyed the stay and liked the hotel. Good points: -Clean -Convenient position for tube; -Safe and secure (key needed 3 times to use lift and access room); -Good room facilities-kitchen includes: fridge, microwave, sink, dishwasher, kettle, enough utensils, small hob. Room also has an iron and ironing board; -Plenty of storage; -Comfortable... More

This hotel is a good choice for travellers that don't want to eat outside. The kitchen is simple but sufficient, staff is helpful and overall impression is good. It is possible to have breakfast there but it is "nearby Tesco made" so not the right choice.

i needed to stay for 1 night close to my office. this was reasonably priced for London and the room was large and very well equipped. There is a drop down double bed, however when it is up there is loads of space to et at a table, work at a desk or sit in a comfortable chair and watch... More

Overnight stay on business, I had a double room which was of a reasonable size, it was clean and well maintained and had a comfortable bed. Wi Fi was poor and dropped a couple of times so don't expect to do any serious work here but ok for light social stuff. No restaurant attached, but the breakfast was fine. Very... More

Stayed for 1 night and and if was ok, nothing special just clean and functional but all very brown and beige and dated/old fashioned. Check your room type as I ended up with a fold down bed when I had booked a twin! The weird double doors are a nightmare with a suitcase as you have to go through a... More

We stayed at The Citadines when attending a dinner at Goldsmith's Hall, 1/2 mile down Aldersgate. This aparthotel is on the main road, 5 minutes from Barbican Tube Station. Compared to the ludicrous rates for most of the "proper" hotels in the area, it's a bargain. As other reviewers have said, the room is not large, and with the bed... More

It is not deluxe, it has little services other than a front desk, but the room was large, with a good size bathroom and enough room to move around, iron some clothes and not feel like you are in a shoe box like most single rooms in London. Furniture was modern, wifi work well. It has no restaurants but the... More

Stayed at the Citadines Barbican for a few nights on business. It's a no-frills business hotel, but my room was clean, spacious (by London standards, of course), and reasonably priced (for London). I didn't use the kitchenette, but it looked well appointed. Lobby area is nice, with complimentary coffee/cappuccino all day. My in-room wifi worked very well, and there seemed... More

First, we got a great rate to stay, about £97 per night. On the Citadines website, sign up to become an Online Member - they offer discounts! They tell you on check-in and on the website that cleaning isn't every day, but you can request a specific day to be cleaned. There is also recycling and trash disposal on each... More
