I stayed here for 2 nights to do some sightseeing in London. This hotel is located very close (2 blocks) to the Barbican Underground station. It's also about a 10 min walk to the St Paul's Underground station and others. Total transit time of about 30 min to Westminster Abbey and about 30 min to the British Museum. Breakfast was... More

We ended up here not by choice - we'd booked the nearby Citadines St. Marks and were transferred here due to technical issues. Barbican is a good location - the apartments across the road are a bit grotty and give the area a bit of a run down feel, but it is safe. As a base for a long weekend,... More

There are different apartments at this hotel, but even the basic one is comfortable. We got to see the four roomed apartment as well (bedroom, lounge, bathroom and kitchen) and this was very nice. If you want a serviced apartment these are more expensive but a stay of more than six days means they'll do it anyway. As my title... More

Well located, basic room with wifi and flat screen tv. Small kitchen well equipped with micro, dishwasher, fridge, boiler with tea and coffee and a clean bathroom. Hairdryer was not working and i had to go downstairs with my hair wet to borrow one from reception.

In a good location, close to the underground, making most parts of London within striking distance. We booked without breakfast, but there is an excellent cafe opposite. Not the most expensive, and wont win any design awards, but better than some hotels where we have paid a lot more. If you are likely to be out and about sightseeing in... More

Location is perfect for a stay in the city. The quality of the room is very high, the fact that they are serviced apartments makes them really comfortable and fully usable even when all the restaurants nearby are closed. 3min walking from Barbican tube station. Breakfast is optional, yet for 12 pounds per day i would expect much more choice... More

I needed a cheap overnight stay close to the guildhall school of music . Requested two single beds rather than a double and was pleased this was the case on arrival even tho my request had not been acknowledged. The room was small and on the main road so a little noisy in the early part of the night. The... More

I had booked this hotel for one night and was unable to make it to London for that night due to a family medical emergency. I spoke to Maria, I assume a receptionist, and explained my situation and she told me it was okay and I wasn't charged. She told me to talk to Expedia because they're the ones with... More

We booked a one bed apartment which had a mini-kitchen and a lounge with sofa-bed. The place was basic and we did spend an entire evening with the maintenance staff coming in and out of our room trying to replace, fix, replace, fix (etc etc, you get the idea) the DVD player! The rooms were not well decorate but they... More

Very well equipped apartment near the underground. Anyway, we ended up using mainly the buses, some of which went right on the Goswell road itself or on a nearby street. A kitchenette, good wifi, good bed and tv was all we needed for our London trip. The room was a bit small, but apparently not among the smallest hotel rooms... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
