Very nice little Hotel situated 2 min walk from Bayswater (circle line) or 5 min walk from Queenswater (central line) tubes which means you can hit more or less most of London within 15 min. The surrounding area is safe in nighttime, so no worries there. Theres a ton of restaurants nearby, nothing fancy, but you should be able to... More

This hotel is situated just around the corner from Bayswater tube station and is a 2 minute walk further down the same road to Queensway Tube station - brilliant! Also Queensway road is just studded with restaurants and takeaways including a pharmacy, supermarkets, bureau de Change and a mall. So you're never far from what you may need - on... More

Stayed at the Kensington for nearly 3 weeks whilst looking for accommodation in London. Its your classic tall London townhouse, no lift so if steps not your thing maybe request a low floor room. The rooms are not massive, and the shower basically a cupboard but works well. The room was well presented the TV & Wi-fi both worked fine.... More

We stayed here for one night and we were very happy! The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful! Our room was on the third floor, it was nice and clean. Only thing is there is no lift so if you can't manage stairs make sure you request a lower floor room! The location was really good too, 2... More

I checked in early in the day after traveling for more than 24 hours and I was tired. Reception was very welcoming and helped my friend and I carry our suitcases up the three flights of stairs. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The windows did not seem to open as much as I would have liked but at least... More

The hotel is in a very nice location. Rooms were appropriately sized and bathrooms were modern. Relatively quiet area. The stairs are a bit long and there is no elevator so plan accordingly. Breakfast is a fairly large spread in a breakfast room in the adjacent property. The manager was a delight and very helpful. The rooms were quite reasonable.

We stayed here for a week in mid September 2014 and found it perfect for what we wanted, 5 minute walk to Bayswater Station, close to Sainsburys and other local shops. Stayed on the very top floor, some 80 steps away from the lobby. You are required to carry your own bags,so please ensure you are physically capable or request... More

This place was a breath of fresh air - I had stayed at another hotel and then a hostel before which for a single private room cost nearly the same as this place (I stayed here for a week and a half). It was very clean, tastefully decorated and the staff (usually just the one woman who is at reception... More

This hotel was recommended by our travel agent who has an aunt living in London. Great location-close to Hyde Park! Also located close to the tube and one block away from a street with numerous choices for dining. We were there in August and the temp was in the high 70s/low80s. Our room was stuffy when we entered but with... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
