This hotel was recommended by our travel agent who has an aunt living in London. Great location-close to Hyde Park! Also located close to the tube and one block away from a street with numerous choices for dining. We were there in August and the temp was in the high 70s/low80s. Our room was stuffy when we entered but with... More

The Good: 1. There is a nice continental breakfast that you can purchase (or it may come free with your room). It has yogurt, cereal, eggs made to order, fruit, pastries and a few other things. We were very pleased with the breakfast. 2. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. 3. Fairly run down, but it was nice... More

Can't find the Phoenix on Trip Advisor so writing my comments here, since our reservation was originally for this hotel, they are side by side and owned by Best Western, and breakfast is held at the Phoenix Hotel for both hotels. We had a triple room, that is 3 single beds, and it was better than I was expecting. If... More

Rick Steves recommended this hotel so I booked a room for 4 nights with my credit card. Very affordable for a single budget traveler. The lady at the reception desk (Linda?) offered me 2 rooms (1 in front; the other in the back). Since I had just arrived from LA after an 11 hour flight, I chose Room 15 on... More

I had a one night stay here before flying out of London from Heathrow. I had booked a basic single room (with shared bathroom) but, when I arrived, they didn't have any available and upgraded me to a double room with private bathroom, which was very comfortable. The hotel was also very affordable for such a great area in London.... More

Great location with near-by tube stations and easy walking distance to Paddington station. Double room was spacious and had everything needed. Had breakfast included which was given in hotel next door, great choice and good value. Room given was in the basement of the building, so no view however no climb up to the room, good for after a long... More

I highly recommend this hotel! We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for the price. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and bathroom was spotless. There was plenty of space to stretch out and store our luggage. We were in the room at the top floor. The stairs were a nightmare, but we knew that going into it- it was the... More

Booked a double room with bathroom. Very clean all round. hotel has no elevator, stayed on the third floor, it may be too much of a climb if you are elderly person, otherwise location is great, 5 min walk to tube station and plenty of restaurantes to choose from. Staff at hotel very helpful and polite. Will return to this hotel... More
