London hotels are very expensive. I needed an affordable hotel which was comfortable and clean. This hotel met those needs. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Location good. Rooms in this city tend to be extremely small but my basic single was spacious enough. Shower in the room, toilet down the hall. Waterheater for tea and coffee, clean towels every... More

Really great! I spent three nights with a friend at Kensington Gardens Hotel and we had a nice stay! Clean rooms, good service, nice staff... What's more, the tube station is just a two-minute walk away, which is really awesome. We can only recommend this hotel.

Overall I was happy with my one-night stay here. I stayed in one of the double rooms (room 6, for anyone interested) and it was very comfortable and clean. The room had clearly been refurbished relatively recently, as indicated in other reviews. It was fairly small, so if you're staying for a while you'll likely find yourself tripping over your... I decided to spend an extra night in London so booked this rather last minute. I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay. The hotel has been totally refurbished. Everything seemed new in my room. It was spotless. The best part of it was that it was very quiet. I slept like a log in a comfortable supportive bed. The hotel is... More

This is one hotel that you will get the best deal by booking directly on their website then through other booking website. However, breakfast is not included so you will need to fork out £6 for a continental breakfast. Service were carried out by young girl from Eastern Europe. They are polite and efficient. The front desk is manned (haha,... More

The hotel is in a good location close to both Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. Upon arrival we were given a warm greeting from the lovely receptionist who not only allocated us a nice front facing room, but also complimentary continental breakfast for our stay as it was NY! The room was very clean, nicely decorated and had all the... More

While I was there the hotel was undergoing renovation which had it`s draw backs as a guest, but I must the say the room I had was spotless, and reception lady was top class. You have to go next door to the Phoenix for breakfast which is a little bit of a hassle but not too great. Over all I... More

Trying to figure out which area to stay in in London seemed impossible but I found a good rate at the Kensington Gardens Hotel and the reviews were good so I decided to book it. Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
