I booked a double room for a great price, only to find on arrival a free upgrade to a luxury suite overlooking Hyde Park, The London Eye, The Shard and Big Ben were clearly visible on the horizon from the large reception area of the suite, while the bedroom looked over Bayswater. The staff were courteous and helpful. Parking is... More

We just returned from our trip to London and the Lancaster London did not disappoint. LOCATION: While it is away from many of the sights in the center of London, the Lancaster Gate tube stop below the hotel made getting to any part of London easily accessible. The hotel sits across the street from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens which... More

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. I picked this hotel because of the in general favourable reviews and the location. It's on top of the Lancaster Gate tube station, which serves the Central Line, one of the most convenient underground lines for sightseeing. I would rate this hotel below-average though (I selected 'average' for my overall rating, as 'poor'... More

We stayed at The Lancaster for a few days earlier in the year. A wonderful Hotel so close to all the sights and as a bonus, opposite Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens

London the week before Xmas has in general a city full of visitors and notably expensive to stay in the big name hotels, surfing the web I came across the renamed old Royal Lancaster now marketed as the Lancaster London.it is built on a small island with the streets wrapping around it,walking distance to all the shops and local restaurants. An older... Stayed for 2 nights last weekend. The room was lovely with a great City view. Went to the Nipa Restaurant on both nights. We were greeted like friends and the manager remembered us from our last visit which had been 2 years before! The food is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves Thai food or... I have attended a dinner event at the Lancaster for three years in a row and I remain impressed by the amenities and staff. The upstairs bar was a welcoming gathering place. The dinner staff was very professional. The meals were excellent.

Stayed here just for the one night on 9th December. Good value hotel for the quality and location, we had a hyde park view room and simply stunning views across the city! Room was fine, nothing amazing but clean and smart, business type grade of decor. Nice big hotel bar for pre-dinner drinks, expensive but pretty common for this quality... More

Stayed at this hotel with work (10 rooms booked) took ages at check in (45 mins) because the hotel hadn't received full details from our booking company. I got to my room and had no hot water with only 40 mins to get ready and out for my work xmas party. I called down to reception who advised they would... More

Stayed here for one night following a function. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We had a room on the 9th floor which was a 'superior, park view' although the 'park' was actually the car park I think! You could glimpse a little of Hyde Park opposite and I am sure the views from some of the rooms are... More
