The accommodation was comfortable, the location is central to almost everything (closed to the subway and Kensington park) I have no complaints about the service or room but the room is very tiny. the hotel is about one block from Kensington High Street with many cool London shops and the Kensington gardens.

The hotel has a very good price, the location is good, it's in a very nice part of London, although not central, it has easy access to the tube and buses. The lobby is stunning, but the rooms are very unimpressive. The towels smell weird and you can hear absolutely everything in the rooms so it makes it very hard... More

We had a really good offer considering it was in London and nearly in the center as well. The hotel was set back off the main Kensington Street and was immaculate inside. We had no complaints or suggestions for improvement. It was a lovely breakfast as well.

A few things really let down our afternoon tea: -You just get given a box of tea bags and make the tea yourself -Sandwiches were a little soggy, while others were a little stale -The staff weren't rude, just a bit indifferent. The discretionary service charge of 12.5% we felt was not deserved as we felt we got the absolute... More

Stayed here while over for the London marathon - having stayed several times before - the recent £40M upgrade has made this a super hotel! It is a 5 min walk from High St. Kensington tube station and has loads of shops and places to eat near by. Hotel rooms are well finished off, clean and tidy with lovely bathrooms.... More

I attended a 2 day conference here this week, and was very impressed with the surroundings, cleanliness and design of the hotel, and the attentiveness of the staff. The location is also great, just a minute walk to High Street Kensington, easy access to tube stations and taxis always available. Brilliant wifi too!

Lovely hotel at a fair London price. My main gripe is the service charge added to the bills which you're obliged to pay - totalled £20 for 2 small drinks. Expressed my discomfort to the barman which he argued. I'd stay at the hotel again, but would not use the bar or restaurant

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is situated almost next to High Street Kensington tube station. The hotel itself is nothing special but it's quiet and clean. The lobby is more glamorous than the rooms which are quite basic and on the smaller side. Wi-Fi, spa and gym cost extra. If you're looking for a clean... More

The hotel is really busy queuing to check into our rooms. The hotel interior in receiption and lounge area is nice. We had two double rooms however my room had a beam in the middle of the room so it made it look smaller. The rooms are needing updated or replenish. The mattress was not very uncomfortable. Rooms were cleaned... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
