My husband and I started staying at this hotel in 1999, after having Russell Square as our headquarters on trips for a number of years. This was a British Airways choice at the time and we decided to try it because of its close proximity to Paddington and Lancaster Gate tubes and it is directly across from the lovely setting... More

The hotel is in a great location very close to Lancaster Gate tube station & Hyde Park entrance. We were on a travelzoo deal which was great value for a London hotel. Public areas very attractive and well kept. Room was an upgrade and was perfectly adequate with tea, coffee, trouser press, iron & board, and was clean. Breakfast was... More

We were lucky enough to be on a very good Travelzoo offer, b&b, room upgrade & a bottle of wine for £89. Receptionist on check in was very friendly & explained the deal, breakfast times etc. We were on the 10th floor but were quite surprised by the small size of the room, especially as this was an upgraded size.... I stayed in December with my family. The rooms although quite small were clean and well equipped with kettle, tea, coffee etc. We had a delicious full English breakfast in the morning which was part of the rate. We also enjoyed free wifi which many London hotels charge. We had theatre tickets booked and took the underground straight into theatre... More

This is a very good comfortable hotel. I have stayed in very many hotels in London and this is certainly in amongst the best of them. The room and bathroom were "compact" but clean and comfortable, tastefully modern and generally well appointed. The reception area is well laid out and the staff at reception were very helpful with check in... More

Room size doesn't match the price paid, but it was OK as I was travelling by myself. The location is what I liked the most, everything else is normal. Nothing special. More

The up side is location and there is a lovely pub next door......however the breakfast was awful....stale rolls and croussants ....toast like slices of cardboard......bacon like shoe leather and eggs like rubber. As for the black pudding even the look was unsavoury. To top it all the coffee was cold. To be charged £12.95 for a breakfast the very least... More

The Hotel is a nice hotel. The workers are very nice. But be carful booking because a standard room is small. Very small and the bathroom are hard to move in. However, the location of this hotel is great. Lilterally across the street is Kensington Palace and the Place Gardens. The Lancaster Gate Underground Station is right around the corner... More

Stayed here with family recently. Purchased the Travelzoo deal so was upgraded to an "Executive Room". On arrival we had a coffee in the lounge bar which was a little grubby to say the least. The rooms were okay but desperately need refurbishment. The breakfast was also just okay, nothing special. The crockery was chipped and a lot of items... More

This is a reasonable, if fairly unremarkable hotel, that just about does the job for a short stay. The positives are an absolutely fantastic location (2 minute walk to Lancaster Gate tube on the Central Line), clean room, and decent breakfast. The staff on reception were also very helpful - a late night request for a toothbrush was no bother,... More
