There's one thing all the reviews here seem to forget: The Winfryd house is absolutely catholic. If you are not a religious person you might feel a bit strange being surrounded by countless crosses and christian imagery in literally every single room. It's just a 10 minute walk to the Tower of London, or Liverpool Street Station, and less than 5 minutes from the Aldgate East tube stop. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very nice. This is a dormitory style building, but clean and comfortable. I would most definitely stay there again.

One of the better place in London for very low budget accomodation. For 27 pounds for person/night breakfast included, in London you can not expect more. Comfort and cleaning are sustainable, and breakfast are abundant. But you must be able to adapt at shared bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful.
