I like the location of Double Tree; just minutes to the Queensway Station (Central Line) or 10 minutes' walk to Bayswater Station and Notting Hill Station (Circle and District Line). Hyde Park is just opposite the hotel and we could enjoy a morning's stroll. Upon check in, the reception gave us two warm chocolate cookies which made a really nice... More

The Double Tree by Hilton- London Hyde Park is located on Bayswater Road, opposite Kensington Gardens and 400 yards west of Queensway underground station. We picked this hotel based on TA reviews as we wanted a place to stay between Oxford Street and Shepherds Bush, for a concert but also Westfield Mall. The hotel is 5 minutes by tube from... More

Above average rating and just below very good....rooms very small but comfortable, bathroom also has size issue but at least the shower is a double and stands alone but no bath! Room has a fridge, empty of any goodies but room for buy your own! Nespresso coffee machine plus tea bags and a kettle were provided. One of the things... More

This is a quiet location with convenient access to the "tube". There was a modestly priced on-premise restaurant, with very good food. The staff was very helpful and attentive. They feature warm, chocolate chip cookies at the reception desk!

A decent and affordable inner city London hotel. If you need to check in early they're pretty helpful but there isn't a gym or anywhere to freshen up if you can't so consider bookings the night before if you're arriving on an early international flight and don't want to wait. They also give you a warm baked cookie on arrival... More

Good quality hotel to stay in. Ideally located in London near metro stations to go shopping, theaters and walks in Kensington Park. The room was lovely, all mod-com included (iron board, hair dryer, coffee machine, kettle etc...) and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast offered everything you wanted and the service was swift and pleasant. All in all, a very nice... More

Room was clean and tidy. Hotel staff were ok without being fantastic. Location of the hotel is good near the bus stop and not far from Queensway tube (central line) or bayswater tube (circle and district line). Overall i would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
