We stayed at the Lancaster Gate Hotel for four nights as we were celebrating 18th and 21st birthdays in London and were very pleased with our visit. The property is ideally situated in a quiet location between Lancaster Gate and Queensway tube stations, close to Hyde Park and local shops, pubs and restaurants. The bedrooms were comfortable with all mod... More

Stayed here for two nights for a City break. Location fine on doorstep of Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. If you just want somewhere reasonably priced to sleep it's fine. Rooms pretty basic, ours did smell for some reason after we showered, it was not nice! Breakfast also nothing special, no fried eggs and pretty hard bacon that seemed to have sat... More

This hotel was arranged through Gate 1 Travel. I read the reviews and was hoping for the best. Situated one block away from Hyde Park and 3 blocks from Queensway (an area with a variety of restaurants), you really couldn’t ask for a better location. WiFi is 5 pounds per day and worked just fine. The breakfast buffet had all... More

Nice hotel. We were directed there by our cruise company before we got on a cruise ship in Southampton. We stayed 3 days. We had breakfast every day. Very good. Lots of variety. Fruit, cereal, meats and cheeses, eggs. Everything that I had was very good. We talked to the concierge once and had a very friendly chat. He pointed... More

we found this a disappointment, the hotel just average, the noise level a bit much as you can hear every door open and close and late at night a pain. the food at the hotel was of average standard I hate to say it but a typical English let down

Stayed at the Lancaster Gate for 4 nights with my daughter in a Twin Room. The place was spotless and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Public Transportation (tube / bus) is only a few min. walk. On the down side: wi-fi costs GBP 5 per day and even then reception is not great. If you wish to store... More

Good hotel in great location. On our first visit we had a good room on 2nd floor but when we returned after a Backroads tour we were put in a basement room. No outlook of course and single beds and small. So asked for another room. Then given room on 2nd floor bit small but ok. Breakfasts good and rooms... More

Accidentally booked the wrong hotel in London & found it to be a lovely clean hotel tastefully done in a smart, quiet Georgian street. Conveniently placed for Hyde park and several tube stations. Staff were very efficient and friendly, breakfast was in a large airy room with beautiful lead windows. The hotel has six floors and two lifts.

Fuming does not describe my feelings. We asked the hotel to book us a taxi to the theatre. It is less than 2 miles away from the hotel. I should have known when there was no plate and no radio and no meter. £25 is the charge!!!! Further installments to follow! Driver says he works for the Hotel. Also says... More
