Good hotel and a Base for London attractions. Rooms nice if a bit dated. Overall great visit. Tube station near buy and 2 stops away from city attractions. Visited merlin attractions all day very doable in one trip.

We stayed one night. Check-in was smooth and the room was clean and comfortable. Exactly what we expected. Location is outstanding: minutes from Piccadilly, Buckingham Palace and loads more. The hotel is also a 5 min. walk from a tube station on the line to Heathrow so it's super convenient for airport travel.

The Holiday Inn Mayfair is in a great location, just off the tube station and 10-15 minutes walk from Buckingham palace and from the likes of Trafalgar Square, etc. The rooms are a bit dated with older bedding and bathroom facilities, e.g. low pressure shower over bath with an old shower curtain and poor noise insulation from the main road.... I stayed here for 1 night for a business trip. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Full of useful information. The room was a good size and really nice inside. However I was not impressed with the view- my room was overlooked by an office block at the back rather than a room at the front... More

Breakfast meeting with a client who was staying the hotel on a visit from India, staff very friendly and helpful, food was excellent, prices reasonable for the West End, would go there again and so would my client.

Excellent position and very nice staff. I had a camera upgrade for free and no fee to leave 1 day before. Rooms are comfortable and clean. To improve: complementary wi-fi is quite poor, maybe paying should be better.

We had booked theatre tickets and decided to stay overnight. We chose the Holiday Inn in Mayfair as it was close proximity to the theatre. Very good welcome when we arrived and check in very easy. Our room was on the fifth floor at the back and not noisy. The room was a fair size with all the usual amenities.... More

Nice hotel, with comfortable clean well kept rooms. Deep bath was lovely! Check in/out was very polite and efficient, can't fault the staff or service. And a great location in the heart of Mayfair. Also like the little touch of a welcome card with a little bit of history. A few disappointments though. Bed was a little soft, the room... More

We stayed in this hotel in Feb 2015, didn't expect much from a holiday inn but we were pleasantly surprised, The location is fantastic, sub station is right around the corner, with restaurants and convenient shops around. Walking distance to the Buckingham Palace. The most impressive is their breakfast buffet, tons of selections even with a juicer for customers press... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
