I recently stayed here for a night while down in London. I had previously stated here about 15 years ago... Nothing has changed. The whole hotel is dated and needs a refresh. The restaurant is disappointing and overpriced, I got put in a corner and the service was as if I was too much trouble Pool, sauna and gym are... More

The hotel is going through a refurbishment so the standard rooms are the rooms which have not been refurbished. The executive rooms are the refurbished rooms. If we had known this we would have booked into the executive rooms and paid the extra. We didn't think you would have to pay more for refurbished rooms, this should have been pointed... More

Stayed here with my parents because it was close to the Eurostar terminal at St Pancras and they had to catch an early train. It is around a 10 min walk or a few mins by taxi. Rooms were of good standard and the breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

I had booked the holiday Inn for my husband's 30th birthday weekend and we're surprised to find that we had a newly refurbished superior room. I'm not sure what the difference between a normal and superior room are, perhaps that we had a couple of bottles of water and a kit kat in the minibar "with compliments"? Considering the fact... Hotel very close to Kings Cross Station 15 mins walk. Staff in restaurant and bars and reception excellent very friendly and helpful. Rooms very good. Fire alarms awoke us twice in the night but must have been false alarms as they soon went off. Would visit again

Stayed for 1 night as part of a red letter day theatre experience. Was booked in promptly and the room was very clean and comfortable. Two double beds in the room. A choice of soft and firm pillows. Had a drink in the bar before going to bed. A good night's sleep was had and then enjoyed a good selection... More

Just like to say that this is one of the cleanest and nicest hotels I've visited in a long time. It's in a great loaction and the staff are soooo friendly. They gave us so many tips on where to shop and dine and went out of their way to be nice. Please keep it that way!

This hotel was our "mystery 4 star hotel" on a Superbreaks deal. The entrance area is very grand, the room was very clean but a bit dated, fine considering we spent very little time there. The leisure facilities were very nice and recently updated. The breakfast was good, but some of the cooked food was a bit disappointing, especially the... More

Hotel welcome was very good. Bar spoilt by large noisy American and heavy on prices also! Large double room (a little tired but we were quite happy with it) and all was good until we went to sleep and were woken in the middle of the night to a strange and loud noise through the air conditioning/heating unit that continued... Thank you for your review and for staying with us. I am glad that you enjoyed our spacious bedrooms and welcome. Sorry to hear about the ventilation noise. I am pleased that the Duty Manager was able to offer service recovery on the day and repair the unit in 315. Thank you for letting me know. More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
