Hello, this month I stayed in your hotel for three days, and second day when I left the room I put some coins on the bed for the maid that clean my room; it happened that I forgot something in the room and when I came back the room hasn't been cleaned but the coins were not there; I wonder... This Holiday Inn is just like all the others in the chain really. Being located in the now up-and-coming Kings Cross area means it is ideally located for some really buzzing bars and bistros/restaurants. Clean, tidy and well-run with comfy beds in surprisingly quiet bedrooms. Only problem is that there is practically no parking, (maybe 6 or 8 spaces) and... More

Part of the large franchise, this paricular branch really caters for it's business clientele. Because of its location you really need access to your own transport as it is off the beaten track as far as the tube network is concerned. Clean, though relatively expensive rooms and served by an adequate restuarant with room service.

What makes a good hotel good is the service, price, location, food and cleanliness. This hotel is like an old bus which brings you there.... but due for an engine overhaul or replacement. Staff very friendly and nice. Cleanliness ok. Rooms with nice beds, we had complimentary drinks : juice water and chocolates every day... no complaints here. Room though... More

We needed a hotel for an early morning Eurostar departure. Unfortunately we left it a bit late in booking and all other chain hotels in the area - Premier Inn, Travelodge - were full, so we booked here. A bit pricey for what it was - £189 room only - but the room was fine, and the staff very helpful.... More

Clean and undergoing a refit, this Hilton is handily located if you are doing business in the Farringdon/ Clerkenwell area. A bit out on the limb for leisure stayers (that said, only 20 mins walk from Kings Cross) Friendly staff and a small gym. Rooms a good size and have everything including a flat screen. Price through one of the... More

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights each in the hotel for approx 120 pound per night per room. The hotel is at a great location-about half a mile from Kings Cross Tube station, buses 63, 38 and 17 providing great connectivity from nearby the hotel as mentioned in the earlier reviews. We were provided rooms on 5th floor and... More

We paid £110 for a family room in mid March 2015. The room was fine with enough space for us all (2 adults 2 kids), comfortable beds, clean. I didn't find it tired or dated or in need of upgrade as other reviewers have said. My only criticism is that the windows don't open and so you are dependent on... More

When checking in they couldn't find our booking so not a good start! The room was lovely and big, but I don't like the fact that you can't open the windows and have to rely on air conditioning! For a four star hotel I would expect water in the room, biscuits with the tea and coffee and free wifi, rip... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
