I'd booked a single room in the Hilton sale, but on arrival as it was a quiet night I was upgraded to a refurbished double. Wish I'd stayed with the single. The work/desk area consisted of a small round table and fixed chair seemingly added as an afterthought. At least the bed was roomy and comfortable. There was the sound... More

Did stay only for 1 night as a part of my business trip. Location is great - just opposite Kensington garden, which can be seen form the room window if you are lucky to have room facing the park (like I did), only 5 min walking distance to Kensington palace, Hyde Park, Royal Albert Hall etc are also easy walking... Upon a speedy check-in we went into our room the room seemed pretty nice but the carpet looked like it had just been taken up and it was left with the under flooring, the TV was a nice tv however the sound quality was fuzzy and the screen was breaking up. Our room was facing towards the road and the... More

Feared the worst on arrival at this Hyde Park Hotel. Reception area is a little shabby and out dated. Happy to say the rest of the hotel is a lot better than the reception area portrays. Rooms small but comfortable and clean, bathroom tiny but got by. Lovely breakfast and nice bar area. Overall a lovely stay

Stayed June 2015 with my boyfriend. We had a King Deluxe Room and it was faultless! Immaculately clean and really spacious. Location was brilliant, opposite Hyde Park and right next to Queensway Tube Station which is on the same line as Notting Hill and Oxford Circle/Marble Arch. Highly recommend for a city break!

An easy to get to hotel, adjacent to Queensway Tube Station. Having read previous reviews I wasn't really sure what to expect. Check in went smoothly but were we asked to have a £50 preauthorisation added to our credit card, as Gold Hilton Honours Members we were a little insulted, to be honest I'm not sure why this is necessary... while the location was good.....my overall impression was this was not what I have come to expect from Hilton's. The staff was friendly but the comfort level of this hotel was far below par. Went there with my friends and family. We all stayed in the hotel. Apparently I got the dates wrong but thanks for great service they pulled a few strings and managed to get the price down. The stay was amazing. Very comfortable beds, clean and not noisy at all. Very cose to central London which was great. I'm quite pleased... More

Room was comfy and very clean if a little on the small side. We only stayed for one night so the size of the room was not a problem. Tea and coffee facilities available in room. Bed, king-size, very comfortable. Only minor detractor was that it was a bit busy on checkout. Tip: If you want a nice breakfast and... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
