I had a short trip to London where I stayed at Hilton ParkLane. The location is very convenient, The staff are excellent, and I think the rooms are recently renovated. The only thing that I noticed which is the rooms are a bit small. Maybe it's the size I reserved.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Hyde Park. I recommend the location as it is right around the corner from two different tube stations and lines. Also the proximity to the entrance to Hyde Park cannot be beat. By now, the newly renovated restaurant should be ready. I am not sure if all the sleeping rooms have been renovated, mine... More

Crazy time to find a hotel in central London at reasonable rates for business. This fitted the bill and having spent the previous four weeks at Paddington Hilton, it must be similar - well it was like chalk and cheese, it was at max occupancy, no real facilities for business and more suited to the week long tourist. The fact... More

We booked two rooms for two nights to enjoy our sons 21st birthday. Unfortunately we were never informed of the major work being carried out on the bar/restaurant. Constant noise and disruption ruined our visit. The rooms also now need major updating. Terrible value for money. Staff could not of been more friendly though!

It is only 5-story high plus the penthouse. Our room was advertised as facing the Hyde Park. In reality, facing it does not mean you have the view because the trees across the street are tall. You have the view of the tree top but no Hyde Park.

I have twice arrived at this property in the late evening with a reservation guaranteed to a credit card - only to be "walked" to another property. And I'm a Diamond-level member of HHonors. A taxi driver in London told me that this hotel has an especially bad reputation for overbooking. Too bad because I like the property and the... More

After a week's work in the UK I stayed here before a flight from Heathrow the next day. Lovely quiet room at the back with a bath (some singles are shower only), good bed as you expect at the Hilton, good tube connections though it's an easy walk to Paddington if you only have carry-on luggage. Nice for a walk... More

I don't even know how to begin my description of this establishment - I'm still shocked it's a Hilton and that Hilton can make such poor choices in terms of its offering. The night I arrived (around 9:45 pm), I was really tired and hungry so I was looking forward to having room service. That was not possible, simply because... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
